So let me ask you this: If you didn’t have the 5 million gold to buy it when you could just walk up to a vendor and purchase it then, do you actually have the almost 10 million you’ll need to buy it now?
Something tells me the answer is BIG NO. So this whole thread is probably academic. You were all warned about this over and over again for months. And now you’re mad.
there are people on this forum that are making a million gold each month from the mission table - there is lots of free gold this expansion. In fact that is why OP is complaining about this.
Honestly. I wouldn’t have a problem with that. I kind of feel like having 5 million gold to just flush down the toilet is enough of a hill to climb. It’d also defang the “MEANIE BLIZZ DID BAD THING” argument. Because this one’s kind of silly TBH.
Okay. If that’s the case then I stand corrected. Even so, IIRC Blizzard only promised that it would occassionally show up on the AH, NOT that you’d be able to go there AT WILL and buy it. And anyone who’s ever used the BMAH knows full well that there is a grand total of ONE of the listed items available across how many servers? It’s not designed to be perfect solution, and bugs wouldn’t surprise me in the least.
No. Mad that it didn’t get purchased when it was more readily available. This is by the way precisely why I didn’t wait to buy mine. Five million on a vendor vs 10 million on the BMAH? Pretty easy decision (assuming you have the gold).
That’s not what this thread is about. Read the OP. It was showing up somewhere in the NA every couple of weeks prior to July of last year.
I don’t know what you’re trying to say here. Each connected realmset and non-connected realm has its own BMAH. Across the US and EU, there’s 238 unique BMAHs with their own listings. The Bruto has been confirmed to have shown up once in that time frame, and that was in EU-Hyjal.
No, mad that its existence was nuked into oblivion last year after it was showing up in the rotation just like any other “rare mount”, including the ZG tiger.
I don’t know how much clearer we can be. Putting it on a vendor would be nice, but the real beef we have right now is its year-long non-existence on the BMAH after being told it would be on the BMAH and that its spawn rate in the rotation was not being touched by the “add it to the crate” hotfix from over a year ago.
No, read the title of the thread. People are mad it hasn’t been on the BMAH for a year. It’s also supposed to drop out of Unclaimed Containers and it doesn’t.
This is a game. Part of the fun is not being in total control and not being able to anticipate every last thing 100% of the time.
Should this be fixed? YES! Will it be fixed in the foreseeable future? Noone knows.
THAT’S THE GAME. YOU PAYS YOUR MONEY YOU TAKES YOUR CHANCES.
Having said that, as someone who owns one, I hope this is fixed sooner rather than later and that those who aspire to the mount at least have a chance. I believe in the principle that once you pay for game content, that it should not arbitrarily be made unavailable. A change in the content’s form or frequency though, is not a total removal.
I’m saying that by not buying the mount when you had the chance you pretty much met your problem half-way, so it’s unfair to place all the blame on Blizzard.
That is to say… unless you just didn’t have the money then, and happened to just recently come into millions of gold.
Going back to the original purpose of this thread, as described in the OP and title - Blizzard needs to do something about the Bruto not showing up in any BMAH.
A lot of us do have a “put it on a vendor for gold cap” wish, but the only thing I want to see changed as a result of this thread is its appearance rate on the BMAH.
The fact it has showed up a single time on a single realm in the entire world over the past year is inexcusable. It’s entirely fair to place the blame on Blizzard. They’ve made this effectively unobtainable.
To make it even clearer: I want to see it show back up like it did before so I can have a chance to gold cap it and win it. Simple as that. Its appearance was fine between 9.0 and a couple weeks after 9.1. Since then, crickets.
There’s a lot of other people upset by this. Here’s wowhead for example:
Fair enough. But keep in mind this is “Bug-Fixes-cost-you-a-raid-tier” Blizzard we’re talking about and heads are on the chopping block if they don’t knock Dragonflight out of the park. Literally. They have no wiggle room on this. If the upcoming expansion doesn’t push up MAU’s, then Microsoft will almost certainly try to renegotiate their stock offer, and then you’ve got Activision’s board staring daggers at Blizzard and whispering to themselves.
They’re probably not going to take the time on Brutosaurs until after Microsoft takes over.
Uhh reference? I don’t think they said anything until a few months before SL…
I hate that mentality because now I feel like in the back of my mind every mount is going to be removed so Im always rushing to get the current mounts. That’s not only stupid design but nobody likes to play in fear like this.
I believe it was announced around 8 months before SL. Wowhead datamined the AH NPC was missing. They at first assumed it wasn’t going to be that kind of mount anymore. Someone made a thread about it on the GD about the mount being removed. I made the dumb post that Wowhead was speculating that the mount wasn’t being removed, just the AH NPC, then Blizzard made a post confirming it.
“ANY NA BMAH” sounds like something one would yell impotently with a mouth full of bargain brand breakfast cereal at a television while one’s favorite sports team lost a play.
