Its an MMO, I get it, but Im done with

Not true my fire bearded friend! I constantly help players out in the world, quite a few times I’ll get a whisper or emote saying thanks, sometimes I even get told off as “I had it, you’re ruining my xp, or w/e”.

If I see you struggle I will help you every single time, if you ask me for help, I will again help you anyway I can.

If you see me struggle and do not help, well tbh I’ll likely not even remember who you are I help so many players and stuff, if I do I’ll assume you didn’t remember me, cus reasons, and go about my game. No biggie, smalls.

Own faction or the enemy faction?

If I see an Alliance player clearing an objective area I sometimes help, and sometimes I ninja the objective, depending on if I’ve been running bg’s or what not.

I get fired up and will disregard any and all manners when dealing with enemy faction, I’ve been victim to it many many times, no remorse anymore.

Yeah it’s pretty sad how people do this in game, but honestly they have the same contempt outside of game as well.

Look out for number one they said, and well everyone listened and now look at the mess it’s made. World is a mess of self-centred individuals with the minority actually caring about community and helping out.

those you help are real people and behave like real people so don’t expect too much

You can keep being you, or you can let other people change you. It’s really your choice.

Both. Doesn’t bother me so much when Alliance do it because we’re technically enemies after all (though I’ll still help them with certain objectives, even when I’m in WM). It’s mostly irksome when fellow Horde do it, especially if they drag extra mobs to me while they’re at it and don’t bother to help clear their own mess.

Awe yeah, that’s the best right there, when some dodo brings the damn train of mobs from half the zone with them, gets to objective, gets one singular whack in, and drops dead immediately as the pile of mobs fills the screen.

Good times.

we must of read different postings. He helped him with no expectation at all. Later he needed some help and saw the same guy and asked if he would help.

Just ignore the mobs lol. Unless the person is grouped with you or you start attacking them, they are just going to kill him and run off again.

When i help someone, i do it without expectation they will return the favor.

When I am on my mage, and ppl step in to help, it’s greatly appreciated since i die so frequently lol. I hope you can find or create a community. I can imagine that makes a difference in this game.

Awww… here, have a thank you from me
But honestly, if that’s how you feel then that’s perfectly fine. I’ve always said it’s the people that make the ‘‘community’’… but it’s become mostly filled with people who just hop on to escape, not bother with anyone and do what they want, log off.

I personally help someone out when I want to… I never go in expecting any help in return or thank you.

I’ve thrown thank yous and helped out a few recently while leveling and it felt… nice.

Just go in trying to enjoy the game, lower your expectations of others and relax a little.

Slow down , life is to be savored

Don’t expect people to help back. Or Appreciate what you did. You also don’t know the age or maturity of that player. You don’t know if they are having a bad day.

In all seriousness, I wish this game were more social. But i think that type of player - the initial wave of people who were attracted to things like Second Life, Maple Story, Gaia Online, and MMOs (which in some aspects are like glorified chat rooms) - has moved on to a different game genre, or doesn’t game anymore.

What that genre is, I don’t know, either. I would love to though, since I am a social gamer.

It’s very frustrating to ask a question regarding the game in General and be met with deafening silence and it happens 99 out of a 100 times.

I try to help people all the time, happen upon folks on a node getting ripped appart, heal them, get agro, they loot the node and leave.

Nah man. I can be a total rebel and ninja an objective or what not. But if I saw a player going down under a pile of mobs regardless of faction, I’d jump in without thinking and help.

In fact I have often wished we could interact cross faction, that way I could actually heal the “enemy” in such times and not just pull aggro off them and hope they survive.

I raise Bantham chickens and keep bees, about as laid back as it get’s and yeah sometimes I ninja the enemy objectives they just spent 5 mins working towards.

Chickens still love me. :kissing_heart:

Red=dead. Get your filthy horde hands off my quest items.

Oh I do, but aggro has been weird for me for years. Plenty of times where I’ve been standing perfectly stockstill doing absolutely nothing at all and someone’s mobs will abruptly make a beeline and attack me anyway. WW and BrM have AoE-heavy toolkits too so it’s difficult to not hit mobs that are suddenly dragged into what you were already fighting.

Welcome to the real world buddy. There’s bad apples here and there.

Actually, today I had some monk who was seemingly really low geared trying to kill the Uldum Boss for the invasion. I apparently helped him out by dps’ing the boss down and he thanked me for the help.

Oh please. Without sharding you also get people ruling over a server like Gods who blacklist anyone who doesnt kiss their butts, you also get premade PvP groups steam rolling all day long. I’m not fooled by this “community” smoke screen.
