It's 2024, why are we still punished for not having a guild?

genuinely curious what on earth you mean by this

Create your own guild. Just takes a few minutes in a major city for guild charter signatures.

literally the only reason why i’m in a guild is for the hearthstone cd lol

As someone with a mental disability - I get non stop abuse. Three or four times it has brought me to the edge of [censored]. Yes - I am in a guild, but I’ve been in 30 or so of them over the 20 years I’ve played and inevitably I have to leave due to abuse.

But I love WoW enough that I just keep plodding along mostly solo.

No - but they got rid of the need to have to assign your GM to a ‘friend’ to invite all your alts.

Here is a list of items that can help you get around, I think this excludes race abilities and class abilities that also help.

I think that’s sadly a people issue not game issue, but I’m sorry that’s happened. I would have thought there would be guilds specifically accepting of neurodiverse players.

Complaining about 30 min. hearthstone CD, that’s cute.

Try playing SoD where it’s 60 min. and there’s no guild perks.

Because its an MMORPG, not skyrim with fast travel.

I have a strange feeling we’re not getting the whole story here. You’ve been in 30 guilds or more, and left all of them due to abuse.

I’m on the spectrum myself (aspergers) and I’ve only ever left one guild due to abuse, and it was a pvp guild. But it wasn’t because of my disability, they were just a-holes.

Don’t really understand either how it effects players IRL, much like a poster asked above. Nothing is stopping you from making new friends in the game and creating a guild where you won’t tolerate any abuse period, make your own destiny.

And don’t forget the Dalaran hearth toy that effectively takes you to SW (quick ride to the portal) and then to whatever world you want to be in.

I haven’t played in a guild in years, and whenever I try to apply for one, they’re all dead and never respond to invites. At least the PvP guilds I try to join.

Communities are active though, I play with them, not much reason for a guild when communities exist (and are active.)

Guilds are eager to get people to join, its not hard at all.

so join a new guild six months later when you log back in. Or use one of the 5,000,000 different teleport options available to you. Or snicker use the new overpowered human racial to get two charges of hearth.

i think you are playing the wrong game . single player games are that way —->

You do realise that you don’t just ‘make’ friends - they are other human beings. Simple fact is IRL and in game - friends aren’t possible for me.

That’s just the nature of my world.

So WoW is a solo game - that’s just how it is.

Of course you aren’t getting the whole story - I’m not about to post the several page diagnosis here just to make you happy. The fact is - I’m on my own IRL and in game - I’m in a guild in game, I avoid too much interaction to maximise how long I can stay in it.

Imagine an hour CD.

Nah, but there are work arounds. Start the legion quest for example and pick up the Dalaran Hearthstone toy. 20 min CD and portals to most major faction hubs easily accessible. And the Garrison one. It’s slightly less useful unless you go deep in the WoD story. But can still be useful to at least change scenery/have way to Draenor on standby while you wait for main Hearth to come off CD.

There are work arounds, and remember that originally it was an hour CD if you weren’t in a guild and Half hour in Wrath if you guild had the achievement. Half hour isn’t so bad in comparison to current CD and options for getting around it.

Seriously though, all you have to do for Dalaran Hearth is talk to Chromie, activate Legion leveling and go to Dalaran. Turning in that quest nets you the Hearth on 20min CD and close access to tons of ports.

Hope this helps, if I see you on my server I’ll shoot you an invite since my guild is just for my alts and I afk sometimes for stretches anyway.

Is it a full moon or something.

So many threads lately I am just “…man. there is a lot to unpack here”

its a guild perk. Dont like it, join a guild.

I’m a strange one.

On the rare occasion I see someone asking for charter sigys in chat I’ll make a toon on their server and sign for free

Costs me nothing but a few minutes and helps another player.

I’ve done it a few times, but like I said, I rarely see requests for guild charter sigys.
