Its probably not just me but things being removed from retail that you can no longer obtain like the mop m+ set armors / mounts some of the older mounts that are gone due to cata mainly collectable stuff that if you missed it its gone forever unless you start all over on aniversery classic and then spend the next 10+ years trying to get everything you missed + the stuff you have on retail. I feel bliz should add a way to obtain this stuff again without the time dump of starting over and waiting years for said stuff to become available again like TW M+ or something.
Who says the classic stuff will merge?
Pretty sure someone was talking about the CM stuff not returning anyways.

Some things deserve to stay in the past. We do not need everything, let people who earned that stuff keep the prestige.
I say this as someone who played the entirety of MoP but was never good enough to do CMs.

It’s kinda the inevitable outcome. Classic is moving at a faster pace than retail. In the time we’ve gone through Shadowlands, DF, and TWW the classic servers have gone through Classic, BC, Wrath and Cata.
The question is whether they will actually do a merger when it happens or not.
Regarding this, I generally agree, but Blizzard has already opened that can of worms. As an example; if you’re going to bring back or give away old promotional items or re-implement old anniversary rewards, you may as well go all the way with it.

There is a difference between an item from yourtcg set or anniversary pet… gotten just for existing AND aotc mounts, elite pvp sets, mage tower skins… you know things that took time effort and a little bit of skill.

They aren’t going to have a classic server continue until it catches up with retail. That’s not classic.
Not really true at all.
As a basic example, the old TCG mounts they decided to start giving away as promotional bait cost tens of millions before they did that. Earning the amount of gold it takes to buy just one of those is much harder than getting AOTC in any content.
Likewise something like the plagued proto-drake being available on the black market while the black proto-drake is unobtainable is an inconsistency that really makes no sense and has no place in the game.
“That’s not classic” has basically been an argument people have been making since they decided to roll onto Cataclysm. If you had to ask a majority of players, they’d probably say the game’s true classic era stopped after Wrath.
Blizzard, on the other hand, really doesn’t have to do a whole lot to put out MoP or WoD classic. All the data is still available to them in a vault, and they get money out of doing it.

I would have loved to play during mop (I did but very late) and get the CM sets but I didnt. Well good for those who have it and rock it everyday.
Thats one of the things that mske these items special, the scarcity or exclusivity

Because they are limited time events and were meant to be challenges/rewards for performing in certain content.
O well. I missed a lot of mage tower appearances and the MoP CM sets because I wasnt playing. They should not return.

How does peoples “time and money” even apply as an argument? In fact this argument is more in favor of them not returning.
One of those people that dont think challenge content rewards should return then yeah I am one of those people. Better than being an entitled spoiled child.

There are a lot of older items that have returned to the game. For example, you can unlock access to the old Scholomance and old Scarlet Monestary. I’m glad they’ve done that.
I’m okay with prestige rewards staying in the past.
