It’s 3am i’m calling it for the night and while yes, there is that nostalgia of staying up late playing, the thrill that each level brings and the joy of hitting 10. However it wasn’t the satisfaction of picking up a white item that’s better than what I got or having 50 silver in my pocket. It wasn’t even actually wondering through shops with NPCs that’s actually mattered. It was feeling like you’re nobody special and a boar could kill you that brought it all back. It’s an actual game again, an actual MMORPG. Not this casino style BS where it’s pull 10mobs no problem, where everyone’s the same just different graphics… everyone is godlike compared to the virtual world you’re trying to immerse yourself into. Thank you Blizzard for creating two worlds again, those that want the actual game play again, a game that truly is rewarding and fun to explore the content you created not just zip as fast as you can to hit max then pick up welfare epics. Just my opinion but that you for going back to an actual game where everything felt like a milestone.
Dear diary…
Hit level 14 tired but best time EVER.
While I am having fun, maybe you guys need to try to level without heirlooms in retail, because its not all that different. You’re still taking every piece of gear as an upgrade, etc.
The main thing is there isnt any looms or any other crutch at this point, making everything feel more authentic and just plain different
Regardless, I hope everyone is having fun!
60 levels isn’t as daunting as 120. Also, you are gaining over twice the amount of progression in 60 levels as people are in 120 levels.
Also, the content in classic is all relevant and doesn’t feel drug out like levels 60-110 do in retail currently.
Change how talents work, bring back some old skills, squish level back to 60 and make all content from bc-BfA legacy and not part of the main story going forward.
We don’t need to slow down the leveling process at all and play through 7 expansions of dead content that give your character zero progression.
When I bought BFA I didn’t have any heirlooms. I was gaining levels in 1-2hrs juat facerolling everything. Group quests = np, BFA showers you with upgrades so you’re always ahead in gear. Classic you’re never showered with loot and nevwr outgearing the zone you’re in. Then once you reach max level you won’t be able to compare LFG for faceroll dungeons to classic dungeons. Yes once you learn the classic dungeons and get more gear they’ll be easier. At the same time once I hit 120 i jumped right into dungeons, then heroics, LFR, and after never having seen any dungeon or raid and knowing the mechanica facerolled them all. Then got full raid level ilvl epics in a couple weeks of max level.
Good luck getting anything but a BOE epic in classic in your first 2 weeks of 60.
That’s not even mentioning the difference in skills/talents/profs.
That says it all brother… Well done…
Yeah, I mean god forbid the landscape in several different continents is different. God forbid you want to enjoy something of old without improvements of new. CURSE YOU FOR HAVING FUN, CURSE YOU!!!
Oh wait…
You mentioned retail, you may excuse yourself from this forum
Meh Classic is just retail minus the content.
Pre-snowflake era, Classic is. Loving it. I’ve been logging out of retail after the first hour or so of playing everyday out of pure boredom. With Classic, I was tempted to stay up all night playing on a work night.
