It is like they WANT players to leave

“bUt BaNkS dO iT!l is so dumb.

Banks also require information to open an account like your name, social security number, credit history, etc. They can also flag a transaction for review based on AI recognizing your spending patterns. They are also insured against theft. They also contract a service to ask you questions that only you would know (like where did your uncle live in 2009?), the name escapes me right now.

So, if you want to have some heavier restrictions on signing up, by all means. But these technophobes (who still want to play an online game somehow) would probably like that even less.

Blizzard is trying to force everyone to have a phone so they can eventually, finally release a new game. :sunglasses:

I been saying for awhile i think blizzard is trying to truly kill WoW so they can move on to other things. and instead of just killing it right off, they are doing it over time and slowly to milk as much more out of wow as they can while they can.

“I’ve never been in an accident how dare the government make seatbelts mandatory!” - people who don’t use authenticators.

Yes, that is totally the same thing. You want a cookie now?

What is wrong with having an authenticator? It really reduces the amount of spam accounts.

Dude got hacked twice in 2 weeks. Dude should get off the internet, doing it so wrong.

It’s a good thing the majority of people aren’t getting hacked more then once in their lifetime. If even once.

Ignore the guildless gobo. They desperately need 15 security measures to protect their anonymity.

Loool.

Edit: I’m super surprised there are this many fools that have and get compromised accounts in their lifetime, that they need 15 security measures. It’s too bad they don’t internet properly.

Double Edit: “You’re the minority” It screeched with 3 updoots. “No you’re the miniority” We replied with double + updoots.

This is the level of intelligence dat permeates here.

Their password system still isn’t case sensitive, it’s not that good.

No, it’s like they want players to actually have secure accounts which is free and easily achieved. You not taking your security seriously is just biting you in the bum in another way now involving LFG. Which is fine.

You say that, but then there’s always someone that DDoS attacks servers when a new expac releases.

Then you got da shill that thinks Blizz actually does anything for the players well being.

My account, and the 4 attached to it has(have) been secured since 2004, without an authenticator, and I am vaxxed.

All these hot takes are so dumb and in the mud it’s beyond hilarious.

If they could stand the sound of their own voice they would literally just argue with themselves in a tiktok video. “Herpderp secure your account bud, it’s 2021, and we keep falling for the same old scams.” Nah. Secure YOUR account, cause you get hacked, we don’t.

Sucks, but hey your opinion is miles below mine.

So don’t group.

So don’t use it.

If you were like me and didn’t do group content, this wouldn’t matter.

Mike Ybarra, ultimately.

I keep seeing you say this in these threads. What the hell does being casual have to do with this? Do casuals not have smartphones now? Or are you saying that casuals don’t care about security? I’m really trying to figure out how casuals specifically are being targeted with this requirement. (Not to mention most casuals arnt listing groups in the first place)

I find all these threads funny: its like the I want to complain to complain thread.

“MY ACCOUNT WAS HACKED! PROTECT ME GG BLIZZARD GG!”

“OMG IM SO TIRED OF BOOSTERS GG BLIZZARD GG”

“OMG I NEED AN AUTH TO NOT GET HACKED? GG BLIZZARD GG”

“OMG I NEED AN AUTH TO PREVENT BOOSTER SPAM? GG BLIZZARD GG”

That doesn’t explain all the botting though. A very large majority of bots come from stolen accounts without authenticators.

Has absolutely nothing to do with their security. Getting into their systems is difficult. It is YOUR system you put at risk. All someone would need is to get your password by any of a dozen+ methods and it would be over.

Stop being naive.

My system is not at risk, that I can guarantee you. And My system MY problem. Not their problem to coerce players with the excuse of curbing ads.

Dude come on man. Thats messed up.

I like how people are pretending MFA is secure.
It can be hacked like anything else.
Just use a good password that can’t be brute force hacked in a few hours and you’ll be fine.
