Maybe if they didn’t design a game with so many barriers and levels of difficulty that the average player THINKS IT’S OK to PAY someone else to play the game for or with them, people would play the characters they want to instead of what they think they need to.
Incoming a certain short and furry monk who will claim it’s alliance’s fault for not doing the higher end mechanics and being too casual, ignoring the fact that horde has a casual population as well - it’s just that almost all of alliance’s original hardcore raiders went horde because that’s where the community is.
Your name and helm are making me cackle, reading this. 10/10.
The only people who think the faction barrier is still good are dorks whose whole personality is being a hardcore partisan for a fictional video game faction
The raid leader of Limit says Alliance and Horde should be able to play together, probably most of the top guilds that have opined on this say they should be able to play together, top PvP streamers are saying it, everyone’s saying it, etc. The faction divide has obviously become so bad for the game that even Ion has basically been forced to admit it multiple times in the past year (although he won’t say what he’s actually going to do about it, probably nothing though)
Making OP racials for Alliance wouldn’t solve the issue. For starters they’d have to have the racials remain OP for far too long for it to have an impact on the faction divide, your big name guilds could faction change no problem but your average player could still remain hesitant on that purchase.
And we’ve had OP racials before and they never last long, so any attempt at making a new OP racial is just going to be met with skepticism on how long it will last.
All I see is blue on my server. I guess I should move to a Horde pop server for better options.
Shadowlands statistics don’t count, people are still quitting the game. Horde guilds in large pop/full servers are dieing just as much.
Use the community tab it’s server wide.
And have you stopped and think about why the hardcore raiders are leaving?
Could it be… uh… I don’t know… maybe the fact that they don’t see a community willing to get things done on Alliance?
One and a half xpacs not enough?
AFTER almost all the damage was done. Now it’s just a self fulfilling feedback loop. People want to do content…can’t do it on Alliance because there are so few players so if you want to do anything with progression, you play Horde because that is where the few people left in the game are.
I can only guess you think that Alliance leadership is great.
Draenor is… uh… very smol. But also, PVE realms get phased with other PVE realms. You’ll likely see a hefty chunk of the other faction when out in the world.
In any case, the state of the game really leave a lot to be desired, for both PVE and PVP content. Players follow trends, even if that means starving out an entire faction. That’s precisely what happened on WRA. More and more guilds trickled to MG, other servers, and Horde, until there was basically no one left. It’s legitimately depressing, as someone who wanted to let their account die on that server with all my characters consolidated.
I don’t think racials will be enough for the average player to leave. They follow friends, their guilds, and their community.
This thread is wild though. It’s hard to imagine that Alliance players not wanting their faction to entirely die out is a controversial topic.
Just for reference, here are some sims from herodamage
Oh boy 1-(not even)2% dps gain. How many players are going to utilize this properly?
Lol, when was that last updated?
My guild isn’t in it, even though it has like 700 members and they have progress into heroic.
I don’t understand the charts… but Kul Tiran are 4th on the first image… so i’ll take it as a good thing.
There’s a lot of specs where covenant abilities are less than 1% between them, and people still flock to the highest they can.
Because they believe that any advantage is an advantage.
Your vers is spicy for some specs :>
The thing with the racials is that it doesn’t effect the average player, it only effects the top of the top - and those are the players that people want to emulate even when it doesn’t effect them.
People are obsessed with min-maxing when it doesn’t actually matter.
Racials aren’t really the only reason for the imbalance though. There’s a multitude of factors, morale being another.
Why would somebody want to play on a team that constantly gets crapped on? Blizzcon, for example, rarely ever hyped up the Alliance. Or, actually, the complete opposite. Corpsegrinder rofl.
This thread’s another good example.
There’s a problem. The devs have even admitted there is now a problem. Yet, there is no problem, and it’s literally everybody who remain’s fault.
Absolute stupidity.
For the Alliance - anyway!!
Alliance gets what Alliance deserves.
However, do you know that book, How to lie with statistics ?
It is even recommended by Bill Gates.
If Alliance racials are better, how come top guilds participating in World Firsts tend to be Horde most of the time? With casters being Trolls, priest healers being Goblin, etc. I’m genuinely curious. Wouldn’t they switch to Alliance, if it truly has better racials, for an edge?
I’m going to need one of every 2 of those Horde to get into WarMode then so the Alliance can get back to 20 and 25% buff ![]()
What is this 10 and 15% crap?
If it keeps going Blizz won’t have to merge factions after all everyone will already be Horde
![]()
Blizz just needs to release some transmog and pets for Alliance players to come back.
If they don’t then that’s when you know this game is really in danger
