I don’t use Discord and I won’t ever use it. I don’t trust them with my personal information especially they are known to lie and have tons of data leaks each year.
they don’t want your bank info, just your facial ID

No, lol. They have my phone parroting my information to a cell phone tower. They know when I sleep. The camera on it is watching my type this. They got enough. If they ask for it they won’t get it. I’ll send them pictures of gore. I don’t care, lol.
Because people are primed for things like this, and when ignoramuses, like the OP, start flinging rumors, the most ignorant amongst us goes to the darkest end-point without verification or just plain reading the actual post. It’s how most misinformation/disinformation gets spread, and it’s a tactic the current government uses to muddy the waters.

again it seems NO one reads the discord lol…no where does it say YOUR FOCED to Scan ID ONLY lol…its Scan Face or scan ID…you can also blackout ALL your ID info as well where it just shows first name and photo lol but seems people dont know how to do that either and we are in 2026 lol…the sad part is

It’s an ID ,does not sayvhas to be a Real ID.
Also, its not required unless your frequent or run an 18 plus server that allows nsfw content on it.

honestly the more and more I think about it, I feel like the ones complaining are kids, Under 18+ and are doing a lot of stuff on discord they should NOT be doing which in that case should have there account looked into in the first place.
Nothing has said you’d need to submit Real ID, to pass the age verification, even the worst case scenarios aren’t there yet.

This is creepy, invasive, and anti-consumer enough, without exaggerating it.
I’ll go to whatever voice program the raid team uses and if a channel needs to be age restricted, I don’t want to be there.
I’m also way past the age of 18, but since I’ve only been on discord for 8 years, they might assume I’m 10 or something, lol.
Some people just have a deep-seated, fundamental urge to be dominated by authoritarians and tyrants. Not much you can do to help these people. They’re the reason we get things like “show your ID to the video game chat app”. I never use adult discord channels but I still won’t be using them anymore come March.
Gonna be a full blown popcorn moment when Discord is breached in a few years and all those IDs and face scans leak out lol.

The “age verification” includes silent “AI” examination of your posting patterns in the background, and appears to go beyond the “we promise” of only targeting certain servers.

No it’s happening because the EU passed a bill that requires most online interactions to have some form of age verification. They don’t want to be banned from multiple countries, thus losing revenue.
oh now my face is leaked into the public what ever shall i do…lol…anyone day or night can take a photo of your face without you even knowing they took it and use it for what ever they want to use it for and you will have NOO idea someone took it in public…same thin happens if it gets leaked who cares if they have your face lol which is prop also on your FB profile photo just saying, which is set to public anyone can steal that too.
I love at the morons who post photos of there kids and and babies on there profile and set it to public like wow ok soo anyone can now see your kids photos and use those photos for what every they want to use them for because there are soo many sick people in this world who sadly do do that stuff which is sick in the first place
