How about we make one mount available per week for the price of 1000 dubloons coins on a set rotation.
That way people that want to farm the mounts out do not go insane with the drop chances. At least they know they will be working towards 1 mount with every single run.
I think this will encourage people to do Island Expedition.
Thatâs a really good idea, and a good start to make the rewards more tolerable.
Iâd also love to see a ârandom cloth/leather/mail/plate pieceâ item introduced for maybe 100 dubloons or something, that gives you a random BoE drop from the loot table. Theyâre BoE so if you donât get what you want or a dupe you can at least sell/trade it.
e: and a ârandom expedition petâ item too.

I vote no. You have two mounts you can get on a vendor, the rest should remain RNG.
you know if you donât have all those pets, you haventâ done many islands. I almost have 3 of each now.
I would love love LOVE to be able to take some of the RNG out like this when it comes to these mounts. They really went overboard with 4 layers with some extending over weeks, almost months.
I know I would happily go back to farming islands if I had the ability to target the mount I wanted and at least have a chance to get it.

i hate island expeditions. the fact that you do them without any reward other than AP most of the time makes it -99 on a scale of 1 to 10 in rewarding content.
if they made it so you could save up for a reward, like the older expansions, then i might do them

is it new, the last time i did it, the vendor sold just junk to make you better in the island expeditions. no mounts/pets or anything worth getting

I am not trolling - people are acting like there is no vendor. People are acting like these donât reward people anything.
I do these on 5 characters each week for the weekly, I know this just isnât true. You do them you get rewarded each and every time.
This morning my friend got a mount from them. He is 150 shy of the 1000 dubloon mount as well. RNG is completely fine for some of these rewards.

Itâs not really a solution. I know a lot of people who donât care about mounts.
They added a vendor in 8.1 that sells pets, mounts, and rep rewards.
They added a vendor and they also increased the drops rates of transmog and pets. All you need to do is check the price on the AH to know there are LOTS AND LOTS of pets being rewarded.
The pets are fine, the mounts are not. They need to change something. Even if itâs just giving us items to force specific invasions.
No, sorry, they shouldnât remain âRNGâ. Every reward should be on the vendor! I have every island drop but the mounts. They are too low of a drop rate.
There are 200+ unique items on the loot table for islands as RNG random drops. There are like 15 total âvanityâ items on the Vendor not counting the totally uninspired consumables.
The reward structure it totally whack and the vendor in no way makes up for the layers of RNG.

They donât need to do anything. In fact, they probably wonât do anything. These are cosmetics items. People complained 10 times as much about the paragon cache mounts in Legion but did they increase the drop rate - no, in fact I think they reduced the drop rate from what it was to start with.
I donât recall them ever increasing drop rates on rare cosmetic items in all the years I have played this game. Everyone does not need nor is entitled to every mount in this game. Some people in this thread have less than 200 mounts so there are plenty others they can get in fact.
The paragon caches are just one layer of RNG, which is fine. The island mounts are multiple layers of RNG, which is not fine. Sorry, I donât agree with you.
