Is X-45 Heartbreaker supposed to be a political joke?

See this is what people mean when individuals try to inject politics into everything. It’s not that difficult to understand what’s at play here.

  1. Activision-Blizzard had a bunch of Cosby wannabes working for them in high level positions.
  2. Said individuals allegedly have a long history of bad behavior which management ignored.
  3. Company gets sued over said acts.
  4. Company removes/sanitizes all crude jokes, controversial characters, or anything that could be remotely be construed as a double entendre among other things. This is either in the misguided belief that appearing to be squeaky clean will help them in the PR fight under the fallout from management and the legal cases, or a superficial way to show that they’ve “changed” while they deny all allegations in court and continue business as usual.

See? It’s not always about politics. Sometimes it’s about flailing while you’re trying to save your own bacon.

The problem with #4 is there is way too much evidence out on the internet shows what it was like before the white washing and hiding of most of which is silly stuff really they are changing…if I was on team to investigate I sure wouldn’t fall for this trick mess they are pulling…

it’s a dog whistle.

Problem is other companies like Riot had a similar situation. You didn’t see them change anything. Blizzard is the only one trying so hard to impress and gains zero out of it.

If it’s a political joke it’s a huge fail. 42 would be the proper number. I’d give that man a cigar for naming it that.

Isn’t it amazing now

Crazy how effective it can be even when they’re not in the position.

It’s just a number.

A lot of companies don’t care about their reputations if it doesn’t affect their numbers too badly.

Maybe Activision-Blizzard saw some movement after the allegations dropped and got spooked. This is the part that would fall under superficial changes.

The X-45 Heartbreaker is obviously a reference to X-President 45, who is roughly the same color as the rocket, and whose character has a great deal in common with the mount’s original euphemism.

And when he won, we were all heartbroken, so the name checks out.

X-45 backwards in SAX in 1337 (leet) speak. Sax is either close to sex or sacks, therefore they didn’t really change the name’s intent at all!

Where’s my tinfoil hat? I need it after that trash.

pink is the new orange!

You know, I was wondering about that… to me it went from just a dirty joke to a political dirty joke (you know love rocket = heartbreaker) If you get my meaning

Nah they get too scared easily and always trying to impress, but everyone can see the strings they’re pulling.

Probly an ode to this song lol idk tbh its rediculious.

Thanks to this thread I will now forever refer to it it as the MAGA Rocket.

Blizz could have this as the closing song for the last run of the event.

Dionne Warwick feat The Bee Gees - Heartbreaker

which makes it weird, i thought they were just going nuts erasing anything that a female might find “offensive”. I mean who cares about what blokes think? We’re going to be playing as teletubbies soon. Those are about the most vague innoffensive entities on the planet. Maybe carebears? i dunno lol.

And when its all said and done and blizzard games are all rated E for everyone. Blizzard will still have its reputation of allegations and criminal wrong doing. Which is somenthing they cannot just name change, or turn into a plate of fruit.

edit for TLDR - this is all petty and serves nothing. Us gamers arent offended by the stuff they are changing!

I doubt many will even want it anymore after this.
