180 dollars for 1 game this year (15*12 +tax) just the sub). So everyone is ok with this I guess. No one game developers are sucking the most vulnerable types dry. GG. The futue looks bright shills will play for anything.
Nah id say those $100 packages from cellphone games make them the most expensive. Also it amazes me people actually buy that garbage when most of those games have like almost zero content just huge pay gates.

There is also that Train Simulator game on Steam, it has like $6K in DLC.
Game should be $4.99/m.
Or be like China, charge by the total hours play as an option as well for the more casuals.

Well, for 1, they don’t charge on how their customers feel it should be worth because of whatever “quality” metrics their customers use. It’s partly for server upkeep.
Secondly, I am surprised the monthly charge (at least in the US) hasn’t gone up due to economic changes within the years since first release.

Crusader kings 2 or anything made by paradox are the most expensive games if you ask me. try getting all three games for a mega campaign for under 800 dollars.
FFXIV has a sub that is the same as WoW and a cash shop that is far more extensive. ESO has a sub mode and a very extensive cash shop. Those two are in the top 5 MMOs usually, so no WoW isn’t the most expensive.
It’s been set at 15$ a month for nearly 15 years. the sub cost is fine.

Blizzard balance can be used to buy expansions iirc.
And you can apply tokens to your blizzard balance, instead of your ingame time. Which is why it’s so expensive now.

If I look at cost per hour played, I’d bet it’s the least expensive game I’ve ever played. Probably the least expensive form of entertainment I’ve ever paid for.
Simply looking at cost only does not tell an accurate story.

Store mounts were cheaper than the frog mounts, but the recent surge in price has made it a little more difficult, which is absolute butts.
