Not remotely a disaster, everyone had ample warning ⌠donât tell me, youâre on Herod, right?
I just spent a fun two hours getting my druid to 5 with a friend, I took Blizzardâs advice, seems you didnât.
WoD was worse
Ample warning, but they also knew the numbers and still didnât increase servers beyond the few they added afterwards. Blizz said to try other serversâŚbut guess what? All the servers have 1000s in queue. So this falls on Blizz screwing up again.

Name ONE flawless Blizzard launch that involves massive online play? The issue is your expectations.
I swear 90% of the posters in this forum right now joined up during MoP at the earliest.

People did, and the queues and login issues are still really, really bad.
Doesnât seem to be an issue for streamers though. Interesting how that works, isnât it?

Hey, donât try to bring common sense into this mess please.
Dont worry, once you log in the game will kick you out of the server and put you behind a 1 hour queue.

Not sure what servers you were playing on in those expansions, but Iâve played on some of the highest pop servers in this game since day 1 and never, ever saw these kinds of queues or âWorld Server Downâ issues.
I was there for Vanilla launch. This is much, much worse.

Yes. They should have really anticipated this. Itâs 2019 and so many managed services like AWS could have handled this load. Instead as usual they cut corners. What was the point of all the stress testing if they canât even address something so simple as launch day? Itâs a real shame.

I donât have to because I wasnât making the claim that they have HAD a flawless launch. I was mocking your âiTs jUsT LiKe VaNiLlAâ comment because when stuff happened like this in Vanilla theyâd give us 3 days game time. Thatâs not going to happen, so itâs not the true Vanila experience.

I guess it varies on the realm. When I heard the new realms were being added, I deleted and recreated on those servers. Iâm not saying I didnât see a queue, but itâs not the insane wait time other players are reporting. 
Poor planning is their fault! only morons donât plan, take care of or listen to their customers. This is just another example of the direction Blizz has been going in for the past few years.
You canât be serious? Were you around for any of the launches up to WOTLK? This is how it goes. Itâs never smooth and people like you cry about having to wait. Just sit down and wait like the rest of us. We might as well be on a plane waiting to deplane. You can complain and cry all you want but itâs only making you look like a fool.
