I bought reforged on release and it was refunded in two hours so not always worth it lol

If I could reinstall up to the last patch before reforged, I would. There is a lot of content that didn’t get the updated treatment so when making custom maps with mixing old and new textures, icons, animation and so on it looks very strange.
I just did the same, OP. It’s been fun for the campaign.

I bought it and the reforged graphics wouldn’t work. I contacted customer support and didn’t receive a response, so I refunded it. So for me it wasn’t worth it.
It’s not bad.

The campaign was always fine. Same game, just with lovely new models.
Although it did feel like a bit of a bait and switch that they remade one of the cinematics to use at the announcement, but then all the others in game were the same old thing.

Oh no it was Diablo 2 i bought. Carry on.
Now there’s one I’m glad I didn’t spend money on. I bought tokens with gold and turned it into bnet balance. Beautiful visual update, but plays like a 25 year old game.

Exclusive mount
I recently saw some graphics from it… and it looked like nightmare fuel. The NPCs look like they’re made out of clay or something…
I got WC3 Reforged back in 2023 with the power of spending all my WoW gold on tokens because I wanted the Meat Wagon mount.
The game crashed every time I finished a mission and I haven’t tried to play it since.
I unfortunately gave into the bait 
but honestly when I did it, it was still worth it to me. I played it alongside a friend who’d never touched the Warcraft RTS’s before.
I found the Ai to be a pita when it came to skirmishes though. They always seemed to know where I was at all times and zerged me fairly early in the game, which annoyed me but 
I remember that happening in AOE 1 even though I didn’t get scouted by the enemy.
Old RTS’s were a bit weird that way.
SEMI unrelated but still related because RTS: I’m looking forwards to the new GOT RTS this year. 
War for Westeros looks dope and ran by a decently respected AU company.

It will never be worth it because Blizz made me use my account-wide-lifetime “1 refund” back when the launch was fundamentally broken by all industry standards and they should have given us refunds anyways. So no matter how much they fix it… Not paying 1 cent for it. They burned that bridge.
Unless there’s some other means of obtaining Warcraft 3, then as I’m aware it’s your only real option outside the seven seas. They even recently discontinued their service of accepting the activation keys of your original copies of WC3, so that’s not an option anymore either.
If you already purchased the original CDs the game is in your Account in CLASSIC tab in the bottom and the CD-keys are there for you. So if you want to play the original version than Reforged it is there in your account.
Warcraft 3 reforged plays the same exact way as it did before it got remastered.
