Is Tyrande a liability for her side?

Lets face it she is the reason why Blood Elves and Nightborne are in the Horde, she failed in Ashenvale, Darkshore and Darnashes, she failed Ysera, and she seems to have Malfurion sense where she is always where she isn’t supposed to be like leading her people because she is busy following him around.

Is there something she has done that has actually benefitted her side?

She…uh…uhhhhh…probably did something at some point in time that I can’t remember that benefited Nelves and the Alliance as a whole.

Yes, but only due to how blizzard has written her. Wish the Nelves were like the ones in the WC series. The ones we have in WoW feel watered down.

Nah, she was 100% right about the Nightborne, and Thalyssra is just a sensitive Nancy.

Blizz has @#$% on the Night Elves for the entirety of WoW. They just cranked it up to 11 in BFA.

This right here. I don’t know who that night elf leader is in WoW but that is not Tyrande Whisperwind.

As soon as they put her in those heels and lace dress like NE Barbie, her character development just continued to snowball downhill.

Tyrande is actually a really amazing leader and has some amazing lore to back that up, but the way she is presented in the game has made her look weak. She has a strong heart, and is always putting her people and malfurion before herself. We have seen her conflicted with choosing between the two in legion and she chose her people which was cool. She makes rash decisions sometimes but only does so if she feels she has no choice.

Her powers are neutered in game and I think it takes away from her so much… It makes her look stupid for acting or doing the things she does but really her bite is so much worse than her bark but we never get to see it. We never get to see her powers back up those decisions, the whole reason she is chosen to lead us.

Malfurion is also made to look weaker in game too I think than he is in lore. It is ridiculous when they power up other characters that should never be able to stand up to them just to keep those characters story going instead.

Nobody should have been able to get away with even getting that close to the world tree in the first place. Tyrande would not have let that happen. :disappointed:

And then the whole night warrior thing turned out to be nothing more than a small fart of power because? :woman_shrugging:t2: How disappointing.

This thread was worth reading for Darnashes alone.

The problem with Night Elves is that they are a race of the alliance.

(is confused because according to Blizzard the Alliance actually won in Darkshore)

(munches on cookies while waiting for the Bakewell Tart to finish in the oven)

I was denied Malfurions head.

Blizzard owes the Horde some Alliance leaders blood.

Hers will serve us.

Tyrande is not a real person that is being misrepresented. Everything about her is due to how Blizzard has written her.

That said, I’m looking forward to seeing where her story goes in SL.

Tyrande is a way better character than Sylvanas.

Tyrande is the only Alliance character with a brain. God forbid someone call out the Nightborne for hiding in a bubble and siding with literal demons.

Read the latest Shadows Rising book if you think they’ve toned her down. If they don’t have her going HAM on everything then I’ll be disappointed.

Yes, let us face the it. You have no god damn clue what you are talking about. There, we have both admitted and accepted that truth.

That’s not a high bar to clear.

Tyrande has always been a liability to her side. During the Third War, she let Illidan loose despite the warnings from her own mate, and then murdered a handful of Wardens when Maiev refused to let him free on Tyrande’s wishes. This was a campaign during Warcraft III.

She murdered her own people just to let a traitor go on the assumption he might help.

Tyrande’s lack of nuance is why she is a poor leader. Tyrande’s lived for over 10,000 years and all that experience has just made her is scornful and bitter.

Shandris: Here to admire the Highborne’s handiwork, Thalyssra? To look upon all that your hubris has wrought?
Thalyssra: Suramar rebelled against Azshara. Were it not for our courage, the Legion’s forces would have overwhelmed Azeroth.

Thalyssra: Shandris. We sealed off Suramar to keep the Pillars of Creation free from Azshara’s grasp. The power she holds with just the Tidestone…
Shandris: I know. So long as it remains in her clutches, we have little hope of victory.

Incorrect.
