put mark on a player, then kill critters. 5% of the critter damage get’s passed to the marked target with the singular focus deathstalker talent. With critter and low level scaling, max level’s have 100s x multipliers to all abilities. The exploit has a range limit though, if you run too far to the critters the damage doesn’t pass back to the mark.

cheesing critter splash damage has been a well known thing for many classes since the SL level squish. Usually it’s hunters having the most fun with it.

this isn’t a legit pvp strat. it’s an exploit to 1 shot people in world pvp if they are next to critters or low level mobs. you put deathmark on the target and then you kill a nearby critter. 5% damage transfer of 100 million is enough to 1 shot them.

in arena/bg or world pvp without a critter it does almost nothing

no I wasnt asking how to do this in real pvp. I was more so asking how to effectively use the death mark in pvp. is the mark on the target you intend to actually focus on and kill or is that on say the healer while youre fighting a dps, so the healer is still taking the 5% damage while not being focused on?

oh ok, it should probably be on your kill target since the 5% plague damage breaks some cc like blind. the mark also does damage to the target as you consume the 3 stacks
