They’ll let you know how they feel when they finish counting all their extra money.
Horrific Visions, lesser visions, 2 zones with dailies, rares, chests, new world bosses, 12 boss raid, legendary cloak grind… what other content do you expect them to add? If it wasn’t Horrific Visions, then it would’ve been a crappy new dungeon.
how much does your watch cost?

actually, how about something fun, and rewarding with some replayability.
You have horrific visions, WoW Classic, WC3 reforged with a broken anvil, and Moon Guard Goldshire for bonus Horrific Visions with no cool down except your eyeballs. That adds up to 640K of content that ought to be enough for anybody till Shadowlands…hic!
I don’t mind short-term content as long as it’s fun to repeat, but rep grinds are exactly the opposite of ‘fun to repeat’.
That said, people who play purely open-world content need something to sink their teeth into. Having some more incentive to explore would be nice, like in WoD, rather than just having a bunch of minor objectives to pick at and slowly increase your rep.
I appreciate WoW content downtime so I can focus on collecting mounts or running alts, farming transmog, completing old quests, or stepping away to play other games without feeling like I am “missing out” on power progression.
There is always plenty to do after completing the newest content.
5.4 was fun for alts, leveling alts and gearing alts.
What a terrible second prize. Blizzard reportedly pays below the average for the jobs its employees do, they can’t afford steak out in Irving CA. Maybe the dev that wins those knives can use it on Spam…
Also, there is one very easy way to make this content last until Shadowlands: make it alt friendly. Make essences account wide, make rep grinds less difficult on alts ala 50% more rep on alts once a main reaches exalted like in MoP, etc. If you make alts more enjoyable to play people will continue to play. Of course you have to get past Ions hubris and uncompromising stance against player feedback first.
I take this over the MoP last patch for a year.
I agree that Timeless Isle wasn’t that great.
But I said when it came out that such content should ONLY exist as a filler patch between expacs, and I said Blizzard should never, ever try to make such content part of regular expac content.
I mean, I could hear their greedy little brain wheels churning away: Hey look people will play nothing-burger content like this! I’ve got an idea…
Sure enough, WoD dropped and we got jumping puzzles for treasures, mission tables, delayed flying and so on.
It’s not possible to cancel something that doesn’t exist.
Unless you can provide a quote from Blizzard stating it was cancelled.
total disaster is an understatement some people actually longed for Fallout 76 because of it ![]()
Fallout 76 is a dumpster fire with constant supply of fuel from Bethesda that keeps making god awful decisions with it
they don’t use gasoline they got a regular shipment from the local power plant they drop in the spent fuel rods to keep the dumpster burning
This comment makes it seem like you think this patch is Shadowlands…please don’t tell me that’s what you actually think…
That is why a shiny new mount was designed to accompany you for your epic adventure.
Yup. At the end of Legion, (after my guild disbanded in the middle of mythic Argus progression, not that I’m bitter or anything) I still had a ton to do. Field Medic, Tactician, Mage Tower, etc. Logged in every day and was never bored.
SO WEIRD that we don’t have anything similar now. HOW ODD that certain people are claiming that raiding is the only thing that ever existed.
There is a content drought at the end of every expansion, vanilla included. Did you complain at the end of Legion? Cata? BC? I hope so, because this thread would be disingenuous otherwise.
