IS there proof that pathfinder is beneficial?

Why don’t you just quit. Your bitter vitriol on the state of the game literally is spewed over these forums. It won’t change. It won’t change. No amount of you running your mouth is going to change it. All the points have been made tens of thousands of times on repeat by the serial complainers and for three expansions it hasn’t change.

Why the hell are you even wasting your time?

IT. WONT. CHANGE.

Putting flying in early won’t being back millions of people to the game. It just won’t.

Their business model puts more emphasis on pre order box sales and sales from their store now so subs is a bonus. But I do agree if they go back to caring about subs they would make more money from their store and also from pre orders as more players would be excited. Word of mouth still does matter in this industry like the movie industry so a consistently subbed player is more likely to bring his friends to join, etc.

If you’ve gone around one hill and crossed a river, you’ve crossed them all. Seen one castle wall with a guarded gate? Seen em all.

Just because Blizzard gave a rationale doesn’t mean it was actually good. It doesn’t matter how I choose to approach a trivial quest that I literally can’t fail.

Do I go in the front? Probably because I have to kill 10 of everything that exists in the courtyard. How do I approach that? Well, I can flip the Retribution Switch and kill 2-3 things at a time but do it rapidly, or I can flip the Protection Switch and gather up everything that moves in the Courtyard drag it to a corner, and whittle it down in the same time span it would take to pick through in Retribution.

What’s that you say? You’re not a Paladin? Well chances are your options fall into one of those two categories anyway. Prot Warrior? Likely does what Prot Paladin does. Fury or arms probably do what Retribution does. Hunter, Demo and Destro locks definitely do. Affliction changed the game up a bit because last I played I was a walking plague factory that dotted up everything that moved and feared it away to die in a corner somewhere.

Riding in and brainlessly slaughtering everything that moves isn’t any different or more compelling than flying in and killing everything that moves. It really isn’t.

The only thing it really accomplishes is placating J Allen Brack and Ion’s egos. They got the ‘I don’t want anyone to fly’ stick lodged up their backsides sideways, and pretty much got their way. For about a year after an expansion no one will fly. After that maybe half the population that could stomach the grind will.

Still the most successful MMO. Still leaps and bounds ahead of any of its competitors and yeah I’ve tried them all.

And you know what, you can’t please everyone.

FF has passed retail WoW…about a year ago. You are behind the times.

Flying instantly isn’t good. It encourages gold farmers to play and ruins server economies. No thanks.

And it’s crap. It’s passed it before of Asian players not western ones where wow is the other way around

The lastest expansion is hailed as one of the best expansions in the MMORPG industry. In fact Blizz decided to take some of that mojo and apply it to shadowlands design.

Nice try. Try to keep up with what is current in the MMORPG world.

Are we talking about the same server economies that are broken to hell and back because of WOD garrisons flooding the market with gold farmed by bored players with alt armies abusing the living hell out of the mission table? Those broken economies that are wrecked beyond what an entire Legion of Chinese gold farmers could ever have done with or without flight? Shut up and get out.

Garrisons are still the best way to make hexweave bags versus flying around the world to gather mats.

People will cite anything because they are blindly hating on flight but refuse to recognize that Blizz designs their game this way with heavy instanced content.

Saying something won’t or can’t change in an MMO is about the most ridiculous thing yoh could say.

No I don’t think I will stop posting. I’m not breaking any rules. Deal with it or ignore my posts.

You’re describing how to mass kill things when we’re 400+ ilvl. You don’t have that much power at the start of an expansion.

I like that I can unlock it once and then not worry about it again. I hate all of the timed grinds added on after exploration and loremaster.

I’ve noticed. Not only did he not read the post he made that disjointed poorly thought out reply to, but flying was never either a source of inflation nor an unanticipated source of craft materials. They knew exactly what they were doing in TBC and Wrath, the gold influx and resulting inflation were from quests - both dailies and regular, that could be completed at the same relative pace by any given player. And the materials gathering process was largely unchanged, so they already had metrics to work with and plan around.

Honestly no one really has a leg to stand on with their hatred for flight. Not even gankers/WPVP players. You know what really helped gank people in TBC? Coming in from high above and raining death upon them before they could figure out what happened. No one but no one can keep an eye on everything within a 3 dimensional space at all times and be fully prepared to mount up and fly away at the first hint of danger.

I’m describing %90 of my playing experience in WoD, Legion, and so far - BFA. Feel free to check my armory. If my level 88 Paladin has 400 item level, I will start a Twitch account and livestream myself cooking and eating my work boot.

We’ll go one step further - how many people take a year to reach 400 iLevel? No one? It takes maybe 2 weeks or so after hitting max level to play the game exactly as I am now? But we’re gating this for a year to preserve that same gameplay that’s blown out of the water within weeks of hitting level cap?

But you keep telling yourself that pretty little lie if it helps you sleep better at night.

No PF is not beneficial to the player. It is continued out of spite for the deception the dev team was called out on in WoD and has continued because of spite.

Ion was even booed this year when he said he wanted PF in SL and that was by rich white knights.

Why are you talking about your level 88 Paladin in the context of pathfinder? Lol

I wish people would stop saying this. PF is a far, far, far greater cost in potential gold than buying flying for 50 characters.

At any historically relative value, you could make enough gold to buy flying for a whole account in the time it takes to grind PF.

I’m talking about it in context of flight, something it’s been able to do since level ~64, and will not be able to do in 2 levels because of a poor design choice that we can’t seem to coax the game’s developers into correcting for love nor money.

We’re talking about max level characters when we talk about pathfinder. Your low level alts have nothing to do with it.

Since when is the only character on an account above level one considered an alt? I know things have changed since last I played 2 years ago, but really now?
