Is there any reason to play a WW over a DH?

Yes it does, just costs energy, though not much.

You get a mortal strike auto … no extra button to mash. Of course you are missing the mack truck impact of mortal strike…

mystic touch is about it, monks are so rare in the pug raid world that you can often get a spot reserved just for that utility alone

I personally think demon hunter’s are boring. I didn’t play one for very long. But, from what I remember it’s just Eye Beam then the dash move and then the other AOE ability. The tanking spec is even more boring. But, it is true, that in a raid demon hunters can keep up with WW. But, I can not say they are better. As far as there mobility I can out run a Demon Hunter if I do it right. Demon hunters win because they can fly around. It is really kind of bs on blizzards part to give ONE class the ability to fly around. Plus, demon hunters can do a lot of trick stuff. I saw a video where a guy used a demon hunter to skip every boss in tol dagor by flying up the castle wall on the outside. Now obviously in mythic plus that doesn’t matter because you have to kill all the bosses along with so many enemy forces…but still the flying is broken.

Other than that…boring rotation. EYEBEAM…EYEBEAM!!!EYEBEAM!!!

Monks on the other hand are fun to play…but I always feel like it is all for show. Touch of Death is such an extreme impact on my dps that with out it I just seem like a nothing in raid. I mean I do all these ability and I try to spend all my time make sure that I am not repeating any of the abilities so that I can get the combo strikes bonus…but at the end of the day most of my dmg comes off of one button…as long as I know to hit touch of death on the boss on pull I’m a god on the DPS meter…rising to the top of the charts very quickly even comparing to people with higher ilvls then me…however, once the all my Cds are used and I’m just going through my rotation my numbers start to fall rapidly…some fights I pray that the boss lives long enough that I can get one more Touch of Death out just so I can look good for the Damage meter.

But, if managed correctly I do have a number of Cd’s that I can Juggle through out the fight and try to use at the best times. The Xuan Tiger; Storm, Earth and fire; touch of karma and touch of death…Also ring of peace is very powerful.

We’re the best orb careers on all ghuun difficulties. Mother’s a good fight for us since we can Karma on cd and line it up with Death… Fetid’s big egg dies fast to Death? idk man. I’d go DH prob but I’m in too deep. I’m thinking of switching to lock next patch.

Doesn’t matter, G’huun will be obsolete soon anyway and most people don’t even have the patience for the encounter anymore.

It does not speak volumes that one part of an encounter that is about to end is a top highlight.

I mained monk/mage in Legion and commonly referred to demon hunters as ā€œThe poor man’s monkā€ until Antorus came out.

I guess this is karma.
