I see a lot of videos and posts about us getting a reset and I recall the story behind Algalon the observer in Ulduar and it kind of got the gears rolling. I’m not interested in what the future holds too much but I would be interested if anyone did any deep dives and found proof or have theories that this “reset” has happened before or at least relative to Azeroth.
We don’t know of any named planet that was reoriginated.
As for Azeroth, Lei-Shen’s plan was to use the Forge of Origination in Uldum to reshape Azeroth in his image, but the Tol’vir guardians repurposed the Forge to wipe out all life on Uldum - and Lei-Shen with his army along with it. In Cata, Deathwing commanded Al’akir to take control of the Forge of Origination and use it as part of N’Zoth’s campaign. In BfA, N’Zoth himself sent his minions to take the Forge, but it was protected by us, and later repurposed by MOTHER to nuke and destroy N’Zoth using the Heart of Azeroth as a focusing tool.
Unless I’m forgetting some obscure Chronicle footnote (always possible 
), I don’t think we’ve actually seen a planet successfully “reset.”
The closest thing in canon is the Titans’ evolutionary reset protocol. Their plan wasn’t to destroy the planet—it was more like hitting the cosmic Ctrl+Alt+Delete on all life while leaving the worldsoul to keep cooking underneath. Algalon was literally moments away from doing exactly that to Azeroth.
As far as we know, though, Blizzard still hasn’t shown a world that actually went through a successful reset, or what a natural worldsoul awakening even looks like. That’s still one of those giant lore question marks.

Unfiltered Adulterated fan theory crafting summarize version of Friends Chat Discussion: We’re arguing whether Azeroth is some kind of Shiva-esque creator/destroyer, whether Ulatek is literally one of her nightmares made manifest of Y’Shaarj for example, if the First Ones’ “robot factories” are just vessel printers for true cosmic deities, 7th Cosmic force is the reason why the Cosmo is divided, but must work together, but never converge into one tie in to the Jailer crimes before imprisonment were when Y’Shaarj was torn from the planet, or even whether the Jailer’s original crime somehow involved a fragment of Azeroth… and process it into the recycle engine of death to be reborn kinda like an Anveena rerun story, whether Azshara is speedrunning a Slaanesh arc, and what in the Nether passes for Warcraft’s Demogorgon.
...and we haven't even figured out where Iridikron, Chromatus, the renegade Dragonflights, undead warlords, or a redeemed Kael joining Illidan and Vashj in whatever cosmic apocalypse Blizzard is cooking are supposed to fit.
At this point I’m convinced the real final boss of Warcraft isn’t the Void… it’s the unanswered lore!
