You, however, are a BrM Monk. Arguably one of the best progression tanks to play on.
Yes, there are times you’ll need a helping hand, but those are far and few in between for you. People are more than eager to bring you on to a dungeon, almost no matter how n00b you are. The only way you can royally screw up is if you try to tank mobs towards the entrance…
Oh and forget to use your Ox Statue.
Just remember; always face the enemies away from your DPS, use Roll/Chi Torpedo instead of moving around normally during encounters, never let Rushing Jade Wind drop, and always taunt your statue instead of the mobs themselves.
best way is to get heirlooms and log into all your characters just before your wow sub dies… then a month later come back to full rested xp and 15.00 saved rested heirloom leveling takes like 6 hours per 110-120 run even faster if its darkmoon faire or you turn on warmode during off hours on a weekday when nobody is around to bother you.
It wasn’t my idea to make questing a static run through the same boring storylines. If they made questing require some sort of thought I’d be all for it. Refusing to use an efficiency addon only makes the game slower, not more interesting.
If you’re BM you should be pulling groups of mobs. You can tank them, and most of your damage output will be the same whether you’re fighting one or five – so take on five!
That said, full heirlooms + 10% xp post + dungeons = 40 minutes or so a level.
Also, timewalking events are phenomenal for getting your toons through that 100-120 slump, you’ll be somewhere between 30-1 hour/level, if you’re queueing tank you have instant pop.
But also, if things are going super slow, just… switch to ww while leveling?
You’re not going to be harassed despite being a newbie tank, and you need to learn somehow. Why level as a tank, refuse to not spec as tank, and also refuse to actually play as a tank? Hell, if you want, I’ll gladly group with you as a healer or a DPS. I’ve got some toons I need to cap anyways.
Except if you are a tank you should be interested in… wait for it… tanking. If you’re averse to tanking while leveling, you’re in for a real treat once you’re max level.
Aside from that - are islands no longer a viable leveling method? No one has mentioned them.
I get from 110-120 in under a zone with partial heirlooms by questing. It’s by far the fastest way.
And no, islands got patched out long ago, they’re now terrible for xp.
I don’t do group content. I am not interested in tanking, healing or dpsing. I am interested in other things. Tanks are good at soloing old content, for instance.
Well if you don’t tank, don’t dps, and don’t heal, I’d imagine pretty much any content in this game will be deadly and unproductive for you. Might I recommend leveling through herbalism and mining?
Since all the answers are pretty much “don’t level brewmaster” or “don’t level solo”, I’m going to assume there isn’t a way to solo level a brewmaster fast.
I guess I’m struggling to understand what you want to hear, here.
You are personally having difficulties solo leveling as a brewmaster, and feel like you die quickly.
You will not entertain any alternate forms of leveling.
You will not switch specs, even though, seemingly, your only reason for playing BM is that you think BM is easier to solo level – but it’s not proving easier for you, so why not switch?
What do you want? “Press CTRL + F2 and you’ll kill all mobs in a 10 meter radius?”
Read your class guide on icy veins.
Follow it. If you follow and still don’t feel like you’re going fast enough, play something else, or consider engaging with any of the content the game has to offer.
