Is there any debate that WoW is P2W?

I disagree.

In my opinion, for games that are truly P2W, the ONLY way to win is to pay.

That’s not the case in WoW, where you can become top-geared without paying ANYTHING. As long as you have the skills and time, you can join a mythic guild, clear high mythic dungeons and PVP at elite levels.

Any player that does that will likely end up with better gear and be more powerful than someone who tries to buy their way with paid carries and auction house BOEs.

If you have a lot of money for carries, you might buy gear that gets you close to the level of an elite mythic raider or dungeon runner. But you won’t ever be more powerful than they are.

The players who don’t pay for carries will have gear that’s probably better since they do more dungeons or raids with their team than someone who pays for carries. And they’ll have much better skill.

And this doesn’t even cover PVP: No matter how much money you spend on WoW, you’ll NEVER become a Gladiator and get the fancy gladiator mounts without earning it the hard way.

This doesn’t sound like P2W to me.
