Seems the physical one i have had for the last few years has started the low battery process on its way to RIPin.
Does blizz still stock them or do i gotta move over to the phone app?

Blizzard stopped with the physical authenticators years ago.
You’re going to need to use the Battle.net app on the phone for the authenticator.
Sorry, Romire, we haven’t had the physical Authenticators in stock for many years now. The only option currently available is the Mobile App.
This ^.
On occasion you can find the old ones online, BUT, you need to keep in mind these are NOS, and the batteries are pushing 10 years as well. Your best bet is to move over to the app while yours still functions.
I woudlnt trust any physical key fob that u can find online especialy since the batteries cant be replaced
Hello there Vrak.
Its good to see your fine Centaur self, its nice to see your patroling the plains of the CS fields ever so nicely.
Looks like mobile app it is, like everyone else has said
I still have my physical Auth and they are going to have to pry it out of my hands!
I do have my Bnet set up with SMS text to my phone though so when it dies, I can remove it myself then get the… app. I don’t do apps.
grumbles and kicks rocks
Well technically you can, you just need a stable power supply and some basic tool and electronics know-how, but the vast majority of people out there don’t have those skills. If they were to slip up mid-battery change to where it lost power for a second, then the authenticator would be done for anyways.
But yeah, people need to stop clinging to the physical authenticators and just use the app. Pretty much any phone made within the past 10 years will work and it doesn’t have to have service either(it only needs wifi). People can just use some junk phone for it, if they’re paranoid tinfoil hatters.
Same here! It’s my 2nd one and still going strong.
Yep… me too.
Well… I’ve not gone quite that far. But obviously the physical unit is ever so slightly more secure than the phone app… although I don’t think that’s really a driving factor for either of us. Probably more stubborn old man syndrome… well, for me anyway.
A couple of years ago I bought a Physical unit off Amazon. Works just fine with WoW but I almost never asked for a code.
it is still available. About $30
Most on Amazon are highly overpriced and They used to come from Blizzard for 6$, the one I found in stock was 85$. Most are all likely approaching end of life as they stopped making them some time ago. Most batteries are only rated for about 7 years, even if not used.
Even at $85 it is still cheaper than a cell phone if you do not own one.
I was never able to get the phone app to work on my cell phone.
Maybe if it would work for many years. But all of the physical devices are well past their normal end of life and could die at any time. And the batteries cannot be replaced by design.
But it’s not a new item, and could very well be end of life. Just suggesting this might not be the best option. Digipass has not produced these in sometime.
Guess it depends on what phone it is, what android or apple os it uses. And what app? Your using the newer bnet app, not the old authenticator app?
