If you can’t root out the problem then a fresh install is the next best thing as well as no addons. If it happens after that, get a gm to help you out.
Can’t believe no one has heard it lol. Yes it does make that sound like someone is clicking on the minimap. Not sure how to turn it off though

Yes. I only use Total RP 3… The addon I have is from BFA, it’s been disabled for a few months now. I only have one addon, only. I wish people would read more and skim less.
disable it and see if the sound continues. Probably is something from this addon. there is no sound effect for rares on the game.
Thanks for reiterating my point. Pardon, I am very upset. If you read my posts, I have stated many times that my one and only addon is disabled. Again, one and only. My ONLY addon is outdated and was compatible for BFA, not SL.
have you tried disable all sounds and raising each one to see what is causing it?
It’s literally just a manual sound built into the game. it’s not too loud but has a short ring to it.
True, it may not be too loud, but the high pitched noise drives me into sensory overload and my heart is actually hurting.
hum…now I know what it is…but never notice this sounds on rares, but I don’t since january, probably forgot about it.
there is no option on the interface to mute it?
If it’s only happening to you it’s reasonable that folks are suggesting you check addons.
Could clean out your cache and all that, too.
If it is a feature it’s so minor it’s completely out of my mind.

First up, you might want to look into the MuteSoundFile addon. This’ll let you take a particular sound effect (assuming you know the sound’s ID) and mute it forever.
So, you download it, log in, and type /msf, and you’ll have this (though it’ll probably look a little different for you):
As I’ve entered above, the ID for the map ping sound effect (which is also used for the rare pings) is “567416.” Input that, a name, and then press “Mute this sound” and you should be good to go for… basically ever, assuming an API update doesn’t break the addon.

it’s not a addon, it’s like a click on the mini map, but happens when a rare appear on it

I’m probably going to try to contact Blizz about this… Even though it’s a small thing, my biggest issue is with the heart palpitations, which have not calmed down and is hurting me pretty badly. I’m going to lay down. For those who helped, thank you… For those that dismissed it… I wish you the best, I guess.

I don’t think anyone is dismissing that you are hearing a sound that affects you negatively its just that there isn’t a sound normally associated with rares. If its not an addon maybe check your accessibility options maybe the game added something in there.
