Is there a single skilled WoW streamer decent at SoD?

didnt he get full BiS and chants for every level of the entire run?

oh yah, watching episode 1 he gets handed full chants and full bis gear from level 1-60.

in contrast, he died like 7 times before level 20 trying to level a self found warrior. speaks for itself, doesnt it?

maybe because retail is more like fortnite than it is like world of warcraft?

snutz streams sod pmuch everyday i believe

Unlikely. Becuse streaming is not about being skilled.
Look for 100-300 viewers streamers. They are usually not brnfkt mrns with similar audience

Watching streamers playing SoD is painful. Every time I tune in they’re in a WSG premade camping the graveyard while yelling how amazing they are.

Quinn69 did a hardcore for a little bit and didn’t take items, gold or enchantments from others. He did use the auction house and mailbox and only grouped with people when doing dungeons. He doesn’t play wow primarily though anymore and he has been focused on POE. I suspect he will come back around to play again at some point.

Oh he also does get feed loot and rolls on it just like everyone else when he does group.

Oh no… streamers getting hand-outs? Guess I have to trash talk them now.
Better quit the game if this actually upsets you.

Posting in a sad thread.

How do you cope with all the people IRL who get everything handed to them?

Look at these retail players malding SoD is more popular than retail.

2600 posts haha you have no life

Easy there chap. Hes good, but not a god gamer

:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

You Classic Andies are weird. You conflate skill with doing chores. That’s just nonsense.

I initially misread your post and thought you were saying they were being corpse camped.

I mean, yeah, corpse camping the opposite faction shows you crushed them thoroughly. That’s how it works.
This forum is so weird. You people will lose horribly, one guy hit exalted losing 85% of his games, and never once stop to ask if you are being a bad player.

It’s too bad you can’t tune into retail streams since no one streams that trash game.

LOL.

for one, you retail boys (the few of you left, yet you’re here now?) think using weakauras to tell you to move here and dps, then move there and dps, while dps rotation equals pressing 1 builder 4 times, then press 1 spender, press big mega damage buff when bloodlust omg so hard.

or from tanks perspective stand in corner, press taunt at X amount of stacks, press cooldown once boss boom-ba bazonk weakaura warning, other tank taunts at X amount of stacks, fall asleep, wake up and repeat omg hard.

or from a healers perspective cast dispel on the healthbar with the GIANT RED FLASHING debuff, then cast your heal with SMART HEALING AUTO HEALS THE LOWEST PLAYER IN 40 YARDS,…

is skill.

the different is that Classic is still an MMORPG, while Retail is just some mobilesque gambling abomination in an RPG clown costume. funny how you literally think "You conflate skill with doing chores. " doesnt apply more so to Retail than Classic.

This is literally tanking in BFD.

This is literally healing in BFD.

And as far as DPS, its even simpler than builder spender for most specs. You just press the glowing button or you press your DPS button.

I like BFD a lot but like, lol. I question if you’ve even done BFD based on your post. Anywho, that was a bit of a diversion, just thought it was funny.

Considering your argument is that getting the gear is the game in Classic but in Retail getting the gear is just the first step towards playing the game (and after that is rated PvP, pushing IO, or raid parsing)… yeah of course I think that. Your post is literally you malding that Asmonbald or whoever got a Deadly Strike and “cheated”, as if that’s the part of the game that matters and not what you do with said sword.

Me and my original group of friends left the game after repeated and successful attempts to dumb the game down, make it to easy. I think Blizz may have been quoted as saying “even grandma can play” back then, pertaining to the current state of retail at the time.

Now, we get these kids saying it’s so hard? Takes so much skill? And the OG players are bad? Please…

All the non-cc’ing, non kicking, standing in bad, know nothing players, are def retail tourists.

Exactly, retail has much better players in general. Queueing up for an LFR raid while sitting AFK in a city. And then wiping to a boss 10 times to get stronger (because that which does kill me after being in an encounter for longer than like 2mins will make me stronger) and then finally letting the actual 3 good players who actually know the mechanics carry an entire group of 30 players while we just sit there dead and getting fat welfare epic loots is the true pinnacle of gaming experience.

Good morning! This is an interesting thread.

I don’t post often, but I always notice there are so many opinions regarding retail, classic, SoD, etc. I started streaming a few months ago, but have played WoW the whole time. I find each different ‘game’ within WoW to be fun in its own way. I began streaming because I play with my son and we mainly pvp (together). We have progressively gotten higher rated and now are looking to push higher ratings.

For myself, I stream SoD and Hardcore because it is a different take on the game. I already leveled every class from Vanilla, so never really wanted to do that again, but HC and SoD offers some fun I enjoy.

So, yes, there are some streamers that play the game without help. I don’t use Weak Auras and many add-ons. I recently did the Starforge gaming Mak’Gora and was the on the WoW Variety Show in December. I did make the final 28 as one of 2 Priests. That said, EVERY streamer and celebrity streamers got massive HELP. All the big streamers get handouts, assistance, etc. Even though we were level 9-12, they had wands, gear, bags, people following them around healing, etc. It is part of their success I suppose.

I don’t pretend to think I would ever get that big, but even if I did you would not see me accepting handouts. I earn my way and put in the work. I teach my son the same thing. I prefer to teach and educate how to level fast, play the AH, etc. All without help (other than grouping with people doing the same things).

I play the game the way many do. I just log in and work on my characters each day. I find groups, improve my gear, look for guilds running WSG, BFD, etc. Most of the time, I am just listening to music while leveling or talking with friends or people who happen upon my stream. If you are looking for someone to play with, run dungeons, smite some alliance, etc. Let me know!!!

I don’t watch much but xaryu, snutz might be people that want to play the game. Also watch moonfirebeam he’s geared and just farms people all day.

Thing about classic is its an unbalanced game on purpose. It’s heavily reliant on gear, your class, and consumables/world buffs. If someone who plays the game as a job is getting the best gear because they made the raid or they made/have the gold to buy gear, it makes a lot of sense. Just understand you don’t play the game as a job, so you obviously aren’t going to be given all the gear.

Also as far as retail vs classic goes having played both. Classic has far more noobs and is a much easier game. But it’s the fact you feel like you are in an actual world with other people is what makes the game good.

Retail is definitely “harder”. One pack of mobs in a mythic + dungeon has harder mechanics than the raid. And every class has mechanics to deal with pretty much anything. Though they are both wow, it’s pretty much a different game entirely. There is not a thing that comes close to mythic raiding in SOD in terms of difficulty, and their definitely will never be. Hardest thing in SOD will always be pvp

I’m glad Blizzard put some difficulty back into retail, but in all their effort to retrieve the real gamers that fled their game they created a group of “special” players that “think” they have some kind of skill.

you accidentally included a comma where there should not be one.
