Is there a reason to keep Ravager after Crit Breakpoint?

There was never a reason to keep ravager. I’ve always used a cat because ravagers are ugly and have no attack animation half the time. I parse fine

The amount of “try hard” in this game is absurd. It’s old as hell. We’re already doing like 50% more DPS than we used to because we’re not kids anymore. That’s … more than enough.

It’s like trying to turn 2v2 AI in Starcraft into a competitive league or something. It’s just weird. Go have fun and stop stressing over this nonsense

Back in the day my friend ran enh and I was ele and he purposely held off earth shocks because it was better for the raid’s dps.

Ravagers are only like 10 DPS more than cats.

I just happen to like ravager, I actually never liked cats.

I agree, if your raid fails because a hunters pet doesn’t have Gore…well…your raid group failed.

I doubt a raid team fails because of 10 DPS.

Thats exactly what I mean. It wasn’t the hunters pet choice that caused the fail.

That’s great! You should use what you like, because as you’ve stated, it doesn’t matter (:

Just don’t want any newer hunters getting worked up over it. It shouldn’t even be a thought. Pick what ya want and have fun :purple_heart:

If you wanna spend time brainstorming how to do more damage, the pet is the least of your worries for anyone wondering. That’s all I was getting at. ^^

Well it’s not entirely true, I think there are dps specific pets that do 10% damage as a passive VS say defensive pets like a boar or turtle.

Cats and ravagers are both offensive pets so they are much closer than say ravager VS turtle.

That’s super true, good point. I think people end up trying to move from, say a 70% parse and try to get to 80% for example, and I see people thinking out loud about their pet choice, or race… things like that… which, your ranged weapon speeds and mastering rotations that correlate to each speed breakpoint plays a much bigger role in most cases. That’s kinda what I was getting at ^^

Thanks for pointing that out
