Believe me, I desperately wish it was going to happen tomorrow.
I highly doubt it, I wonât say it couldnât happen but given they are still doing connections this weekâŚ
I know as a (non-blizz) dev I wouldnât. I would want a week or two to make sure all my backups and critical work was in order and prepped before I rolled out that big of a change.
Possibly even get blue/green environments going so that when I roll the patch out Iâve already done it more than once.
We got that announcement already last week.
I think a lot of us are hoping for it. If itâs next week, itâll be the shortest prepatch thus far, if I recall. And with all the changes, I donât think that would be ideal.
They already did that without giving a date. Why do people come on here spouting things without looking into them first?
the patch was already downloaded
For BfA and Legion, they gave the Ending Soon post with no date, and then on the Friday prior to patch announced the date. For BfA, that was around 5pm PST that Friday.
So, they have given 4 days notice before.
Or winning 7 times in a row.
13th? Now thatâs a scary thought
There is a chance for anything to happen. There is a chance that thousands of ugly yellow spaceships can appear around our planet. They are here to demolish the planet because they are making a hyperspace route. There is only one way to survive, and you better have a towel. Donât panic.
Well none of us really know when itâs coming but I think we can all agree that weâre tired of these posts popping up every single day.
Thatâs literally the drop dead date for the content as there are only two weeks worth of âcontentâ (a couple of quests and dailies).
Gotta remember that thereâs an entire leveling revamp and rampant class changes.
Theyâre merging servers tomorrow, so itâs probably unlikely weâre getting the pre-patch then.
At this point, I think we can expect a delayed Shadowlands release, so I highly doubt that the prepatch will be here by tomorrow.
This doesnât necessarily mean itâs going to be on the 13th. Thereâs still other stuff to test out and play, even without those few quests and Nathanos
Iâm well aware see my post above where I talk about wanting at least a week to test and back things up. Big bang deployments suck⌠period. As someone who specializes in Devops it literally makes me wince to watch them.
Yes the amount these and delay/donât delay Shadowlands are getting ridiculous.
It looks like they moved the majority of what would be âprepatchâ into the intro quests for the expac. Iâm guessing they made a decision to focus on expac content rather than pre-patch because of existing concerns.
Yeah like it just has people arguing for no reason, myself included. We all want the pre-patch and we all want it to be a smooth launch
