In a perfect world, yes, the healer should be doing their best to grab all they can. I’ve not said any differently in this thread. But those streamers would also agree 100% that there are situations where a healer mathematically cannot get every single orb that spawns. The GCD is a thing, argue all you want that it’s a healer’s job, but the GCD doesn’t care. Thus unless they are willing to potentially endure a group wipe and lose even more time off the timer, then someone that isn’t the healer is going to have to help out.
Then we agree its a healer’s job.
It’s a no fun mechanic, log off and enjoy real life during this week
teamwork affix, everyone’s job.
healers should be getting most of them, but it’s bursting, so there’s lots of occupied globals…so if a player (regardless of role) just sits there and watches the castbar go off on an orb, they’re playing like a scrub ![]()
I agree that healers should do their best to grab all that they can, but everyone else needs to step in when there are multiple spawns, especially when heavy damage is going out at the same time.
Which is my entire point and I’ve said it pretty consistently in this thread. So if you’re trying get me to say that “it’s solely a job for the healer while the dps faceroll the keyboard for moar dps and ignore everything else”, then you’d best look elsewhere.
People who dont heal will tell you its the healer’s job… because they dont know that instant cast abilities arent baseline anymore.
shadow word pain one taps them.
if there’s a few explosives it’s a healers job, if healer needs help tank step in and help and if tank is still gathering then dps helps with it.
I heal and will tell you it’s primarily the healers/tanks job.
There isn’t enough going on in your average pull to have dps waste globals on them.
For me usually the DPS or tank would do it, I had no issue helping out when I seen they were getting out of hand or if I could spare a few seconds I’d just get them. I don’t mind doing it unless I’m frantically spam healing.
they should make orbs aoe’able already.
primarily healer and tank (tank should get the ones that are burried in melee).
then dps should help if it gets overwhelming on certain packs.
its a tough discussion to have some ppl really dont want responsibilities ![]()
the packs will go down faster if the dps dont have to deal with it. a good example is outlaw rogue - they want to cleave off of the target that’s been shot with between the eyes - not some random explosive that hasnt been debuffed.
Dear OP,
It is the dps’ job to get the orbs, but for some reason many have spread this fallacy that it is the healers job. What I recommend is that you and the other healers in wow, just take explosive week off. Clearly you are not needed as healers.
Cheers.
1 2 3 not my fault!
It is ideal for a healer to manage explosives, but of course if the healer is unable to get them all, then the group should get them. In very large pulls, especially ones that are also spread out, people should be helping. Holy paladin struggles significantly compared to rdruid, rshaman, evoker, and priest specs for this. In this scenario it isn’t your fault.
This is exactly why I hard stopped doing mythic plus with this expansion. Entitled lazy dps expecting healers to do it all plus tanks doing big pulls–NOPE, it isn’t worth it.
You’re right, it is a healers job, but healers do need help with it when theyre gcd locked healing the DPS who can’t look at their feet, or the tank who’s yet to learn what a defensive is.
8 orbs spawn at once? Healer needs help. Orbs spawn while the group is taking heavy damage? Healer needs help. It’s a game mode centered around team work, and you’re sounding like a massively selfish player. I certainly wouldn’t invite you if I knew your main.
defeats the purpose of what it is. They’ll have to up the hps of them significantly if they every do that
Gonna be no ones job in a few hours.
Poor pally healers rolling their wheel chairs out to the ranged orbs ![]()
