You’re a priest if you’re doing the holy one it was considered stupidly Overtuned by lots of people and content creators compared to all other healers when it was reintroduced. It’s annoying cause it’s the only one I want. ;(

Mage tower isn’t a easy mode LFR GG thing…you need to actually learn and git gud.

Can only speak of ret but its 100% harder than in Legion. It also gives a glimpse how absolute trash this spec feels without burrowed power as no set bonus, legendary or covenant feature works. I almost vomit at this design.

No it isn’t. I had no trouble getting through the first part of the fight back in Legion. The adds died very fast in comparison to what happens in there now. I’m just glad the artifact appearances aren’t back in there too, else I would have to suffer through it to get them. Now I don’t have to.

Have some bad news for you, I did some of the “harder” mage tower runs the first two days it was released which meant I was 890-895 equip average with a bad legendary. (I had the literal worst luck all of legion)
And they are definitely harder now, I even did the challenges on the same characters. The challenges are very doable still, but claiming they are easier now is just dishonest.

That’s the problem, a lot of GD’ers simply don’t want to put in the wipes/work to get the goodies from Mage Tower.
Yes, sometimes that means sitting thru 100-200+ wipes on the boss until you finally memorize the mechanics/memorize the fight and get that one perfect “the stars aligned” pull where you ace the mechanics and win.
If it isn’t a faceroll easy “gimme gimme right now!” quick kill after only 4-5 attempts, the complaints from GD’ers start flowing 
Grab some 45-50 ilvl gear, socket the hell out of it.
I will say, since your extra skills aren’t working this time around is harder. Finished it on my hunter and DH back in legion, and I can tell it’s harder. Not impossible, but I hate the RNGness of the Shaman one so much.
Finished it on my MM hunter already, since you’re basically going in circles for 6 minutes .
Yeah, this time around scaling is making it worse for some classes.

I tried it way back when a few times. ugh…forget it being hard or not…whats the point. Worst than Boreghast.
It’s just a long unforgivable choreograph. Honestly it should be cakewalk for people who love to raid.
I recently went and did the Xylem old challenges fire water arcana. Those were a lot of fun.
This is a digression but they could have easily left the mage Tower in the Dark Moon Faire alongside the other Legion puzzles behind that big tent.
But what do I know.
you can do this in a trial character that’s level 50 meaning, it’s missing a talent, gear is not the issue.
