Better having to work for your loot instead of having it thrown at you. It makes acquiring said loot much more satisfying.

I already have a job I work for that gives a much more satisfying paycheck.

Overcoming difficult boss fights that reward you with character progression is far more satisfying than doing Molten Bore for 6 months.
