Is the Arbiter the real villain of Shadowlands?

Who gave the Arbiter the right to judge the souls of Azeroth? To condemn souls to the Maw. To judge if souls should be punished?
Sylvanas might be right. Azeroth is a prison.

Arbiter is part of the cycle of how that eco-system works. The Jailer was and is the main villain… /shrug

At this point, who knows.
Three-four patches from 9.0 we’ll find out some odd thing about Sylvanus and then they’ll twist it so it was really Tyrande who is evil.
M.Night Shamalamadingdong style.

That is what we’re being told. We’ve also been told that the Titans are great guys who don’t screw up, and that the light is benevolent and totally always good. Both of those are demonstrably false.

In literature there is the concept of an ‘unreliable narrator’. Just because we’re told something doesn’t make it true.

I’m pretty sure we;ve been told balance is the only proper and just way forward, I think you’ve been spending too much time near the Sunwell if u heard otherwise :woman_shrugging:t5:

To be fair, if I adopted that kind of thinking, I’d be skeptical of everyone and everything while every one involved in said story would be evil to me lol but for now I have only so much to go off of so I’m inclined to believe what they tell me. When more information is made available, then I’ll form my own opinion.

Oh good, Shadowlands is going to be a ripoff of The Good Place.

Exactly, and that there is a necessary balance/order that keeps the Shadowlands moving/operating - that has been disturbed so while I myself enjoy some speculation, it’s hard to assume much else past the information we were given.

Perhaps you should be skeptical of everyone and everything. Blind faith is the path of zealotry and ruination. Always assume that people are lying about something. Never take things on face value. That’s how you get snookered by politicians who talk a good game, but their actions speak differently. I was suspicious of the Light long before the naaru tried to forcibly lightforge Illidan. Rabid zealots calling on the light formed the basis of the Scarlet Crusade, after all.

Yes and there are thousands of storylines in WoW that I can go off on tangents like you do but concerning Shadowlands, it’s fine if you want to go the speculative route but I’d rather save myself the head ache and see what predictable thing Steve Danuzer does.

As well as the Argent Dawn. Simply being utterly contrarian doesn’t get you insight

sylvanas isn’t a villain alliance players and horde traitors are just sour they never will get to kill sylvanas and that she will never be killed off

It isn’t ‘utterly contrarian’ but ‘pragmatic and reasonable’. Faith leads to opposition of the other, opposition leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering. Divest emotions and belief from things, and look at things with cold logic, and you get to the truth.

not really. What is the truth you can see in the concept of human rights (for example)? It’s not about logic lol.

You are investing much in uncertainty. I will be fun watching you go broke when they release her death cinematic.

sylvanas isn’t a villain she isn’t serving anyone she is her own master and we the cunning ones shall join sylvanas

You’re just fuel for the maw and not ‘cunning’ enough to know that yet.

soon I will see all the sylvanas haters cry that you wont get what you want that sylvanas wont be killed off.
