I’m a solo player on my Ret Paladin and this right here is specifically why I play Herald. On top of it just being more fun? I’m a solo player so I pretty much just stick to delves or World content.
If I were to step foot in a raid to help out some friends or something I would switch to Templar without giving it a second thought

i highly doubt he was banned for saying AC and lightsmith was good cause i do the same thing cause i love melee holy. im not banned.
this guy obviously did something else that lead to his yeet like most people who come to the forums.
the fact he was given warnings in hunterslodge and evoker discord also speaks volumns. i could look deeper and find the actual reason he got removed. but most likely it was either slur usage or extreme aggression. since the latter is the only way you get warned in hunter and evoker discord

WotLK Classic Death Knight Discord was the same way.
Extremely hostile to the Blood DPS theorycrafters, extremely hotsile to 2H Unholy advocates, even if you parsed really well, etc.
Something about certain platforms (Discord, or worse still, Reddit) just brings out the worst of group dynamics.

i doubt its that cut and dry tho. how would you feel if you get 1090 dms and messages a day from different people saying X and Y is actually good and the evidence they provide is poop tier.
then when you tell them its poop tier they get super aggressive and hostile out of the blue.
ultimately from my findings alot of people who think classcords are echo chambery are usually people who get giga made when people point out that their “theory crafting” has huge holes in it
not to say that classcords are perfect tho, theres obviously issues. but those issues are almost never talked about in these types of threads
its always some goober who complains how classcords are “le bad” cause they got yeeted. given the nature of classcords in general, you had to be a real poop person to get yeeted to begin with
you can clearly see who are classcord regulars or frequent there, and who are people who get drip fed misinfo about classcord and thus never visit then, and who are the malding redditers or forum users who got banned cause they started to be jerks.

What is there to respond to? You’re more or less writing fanfiction and expecting us to take your word for it. That’s certainly not what I saw in my time lurking over there.
People getting “SUPER HOSTILE OUT OF THE BLUE” when someone disagrees with them might happen, it might not. In my time popping over there, I didn’t notice it. It’s a “Just So” story. Let’s not dress that up as a thesis.

i lurk there too, and im seeing people who get giga hostile when tcers ask for evidence and they dont provide any of note. its funny who you call my experience fanfiction while you expect all of us to take your word for it cause your a “trustworhty person. who doesnt have some sort of agenda”
im combing over warcraftlogs rn trying to see if theirs weight to it as well. and it seems like alot of it is inflated by outside sources

while im looking over things, im seeing a section for blood tc and alot of people who think it isnt optimized already are being giga aggressive when a tcer is nicely telling them that this sim has issues and hard for ah uman to replicate.
going way back into wotlk, btw cause cata also has blood dps memes from ultrax but from the looks of these sims its not that solid either and logs start to reflect that
theres a warmaster blood dps details chart but everyone is doing 0 dps, so ofcourse blood dps is gonna be topping it.
theres a channel for blood dps as well for wotlk. its also full of conflict cause people are being impossibly dumb with sims
theresa guy who doesnt understand how snapshotting worked and had to be step by step walked through it. like these people have alot more patience than me thats for sure

To start with, it’s kind of funny that you’re now doing the “My experience is just as valid as yours” when you initially responded to me by writing the usual celebration parallax (That doesn’t happen, but it’s a good thing it does) and suggesting anyone who disagrees is either lying or misinformed.
Regarding an agenda, please tell me what my agenda here is supposed to be? I popped into the DK Class Discord for WotLK Classic, read a bit, saw a fair amount of toxicity and unreasonableness and thought to myself “Wow, discourse has really gone off a cliff since the days of places like EJ & MMO Class Forums.” I don’t really have an axe to grind here.
My primary issue was with how hostile they were towards 2H Unholy advocates, who were more or less making inoffensive posts with the preface of “Hey, I know it’s worse than DW, but the gap early on doesn’t seem that big and I want to make a space to discuss how to push DPS within the 2H Unholy framework”
And for the record, they were right. A few 2H players got very good parses early on, because the gap was smaller in P1.
Re: Blood, I’m less married to that particular controversy, but noted just how hostile they had become to a few of the guys trying to make it work once Blizzard announced they’d be fixing the DRW bug (or bugs, considering there were multiple) at just around the time ArP was getting high enough for it to “work” on its own terms.
Yeah, they finally made it after one of the bigger members of the Community went and made a video, and they got a Dev to have a bit of back and forth re: Blood bug fixes.
