on retail, and in vanilla… WPvP died the second BGs came out… and on Pserver, other than trying to grief another guild by dispelling their buff before zoning in MC…
It is being enjoyed quite a bit, and will be remembered quite fondly by people on PvE servers. Just saying.
You and the poster before you are both wrong.
Hillsbrad is a significant quest hub for horde going west to fields and mine. SS alliance go north to Alterac. The parties literally cross paths constantly. Thus war frequently breaks out.
Its also a great place for alliance to gank because their fp is so close to a major horde route.
And there are considerable value resources squished into that little itty bitty area - you may not be aware of it, but that does not make it so.

But both groups are well below level 60 and hence not worth honor to level 60’s.
It could spontaneously escalate into war of the “both sides call in their big brothers” variety but there is nothing there to interest somebody who is seriously grinding honor.
Who said anything about grinding honor? People are fighting in TM vs SS for the fun of it.

On PvE servers I’m betting it massively escalated when the honor system was released. People may not be funlessly grinding honor but it provides that little extra kick that makes things go, even on PvE servers.

Which is probably the real reason pvp servers have lost interest in it. It was once a good opportunity to grief and frustrate players who are leveling. But now people go there anticipating pvp. There’s no attraction when everyone involved is having fun.

“Real PvP” is beating your opponent using any means necessary. Anything else is just imposing made-up rules on others that they didn’t agree to.

South shore vs tauren mill is alive daily on the Atiesh server. But we are pve and the pvp here is opt in.
Too bad your pvp doesnt work.

On Yojamba its dead. Was alive for a week maybe when P2 started. Hillsbrad is now just 30s leveling. Makes me sad coz i really enjoyed SS vs TM but what can u do. Its the toll of min-maxing in todays way of playing wow. On the PVE server Remulos it still happens from what i hear.
