i only hit 1800 for the mog, anything above that is vanity to me

High dmg? Do you have any idea how it is for a ret, an enc and a Spriest all training the same healer and all the disc priest in green needs to do is to set up and cast 1 penance and maybe another spell and heâs back to full after eating all our CDs?
Yes after eating ALL our CDs.
THATâS whatâs overpowered. It can even be two rets and we still wonât be able to take down healers in like 10 secs. So before ppl are yelling about Ret OPs etc, pls understand itâs often with mortal strikes abilities in the mix from someone else and usually also a disparity number of fighters on their end.
Being able to burst u down 20-30% while u have another 6 ppl on you is gonna LOOK op, not actually being OP.

For a sufficiently broad definition of the word âmeleeâ, yes.
at the end of dragon flight it was not. we had like 10-15m auto attack melee range.
but with tww s1 they nerfed it back to melee. so now its just normal melee range.
you can do damage out of melee but you really, really dont want to because most people take the auto attack holy power generator and u need to be in melee for that.
not generating holy power in melee is a huge dps loss.
that said it feels 1000% better to play then a warrior because your not dead in the water if you need to make some distance, you can still throw hammers to generate holy power and use spenders from medium range, but at range the loss of the auto attack holy power generator is painful.
Frankly, I think Blizzard will eventually cave and nerf Ret. Being able to drop high damage with little to no build up is a bit OPed relative to other classes that have to spend wet noodle builders before they can do real damage.
Is what arcane and mm are doing from much further range than ret but they donât get as many threads about them because hating on those specs isnât as popular 
Welcome to our previous iteration. 
Well they are also squishier than ret aswell and their a dedicated range spec that HAS to kite you, Ret is a plate wearing class with a literal button for everything in pvp. They are supposed to be a melee class but can just kite and do plenty of dmg
I also wanna mention EVERYONE hates arcane and mm hunters, boomies also been getting unnoticed in ebgs somehow lol, arcane just got a costco receipt worth of nerfs, mm is probably coming soon id hope
Or you can perhaps detach yourself from the fight and run towards your healers. THEY can and WILL make you a God then.
