Is ret pally being pruned?

True. Another reason Im not a fan of Ret. Cant take a hit. Would rather kill slower, but have survivability.

I dunno. Theres up to 20 buttons for ret so an ability prune is needed. Theres some stuff they added that are just so miniscule, like exorcism. It made sense to have exorcism back in the day, but now that we have to manage holy power it just seems like a waste to have. Looking forward to what they do with ret but i’m not gonna hold my breath that it’ll be an actual fix.

The whole thing, is that it’s FUN. If you feel like exorcism is unnecessary, then do not waste your talent points on that ability, I don’t understand why that is an unreasonable concept to understand. It isn’t even required for other talents. Go look at the ret talent tree right now, there is nothing underneath exorcism, no talent requires you to choose exorcism first in order to unlock it. I chose to put a talent point into it because I enjoy using it in my rotation, it’s fun. Anyone that thinks the ability is unnecessary should just put that talent point into something else. I don’t see how pruning the ability again is beneficial to anyone.

Ok, but what about blessing of sacrifice? same thing, adds to our dps but we have to bless a random party member and take damage to boost our own? Seems out of place.

Fun is subjective, that’s why every ability should be available to be talented into, instead of pruned. That ability is not fun to me, so I’m not talented into it. Thank you for giving me the perfect example. I have no interest in that ability, I still do not think it should be pruned, for those that do enjoy it, they can choose to have it.

The “rotation” is wanting.

I miss ret when it was evolving from cata to mop to wod and then legion. The amount of buttons you have to press before you actually do damage is just dumb.

The devs have the right idea. Get rid of the button bloat. And for the love of god, please remove the whole “judgement before you spend combo points” mechanic. If that requires a divine toll rework, so be it.

Idk but several “reworks” they’ve done recently have been really really bad. Just ask guardian Druid.

Unless they get rid of the Ret Tree’s focus on Consecration I am sticking with Final Fantasy.

It’s been 20 years. I’m done with the Ret hate, excuses, BS, and toxic Devs. Oh and having 12+ Romance stories which frankly, I could predict the outcome of without doing the quest, did not help. Fix that crap and tell real stories; and I may return. Or don’t and just go down like everything else that caters to minorities instead of taking care of your core audience.

Either way, no more cash for Blizzard long term. I have enough gold and tokens that I can poke in if I want to. Seems saving all those Scarlet Initiate Robes back when I actually gave a crap about this game, and ran a Scarlet Crusade themed Roleplaying Guild was a worthwhile investment.

And you are ALSO discriminating against a group of people and bringing up politics unrelated to this topic, which is also pathetic. Conservatives and Liberals are just two sides of the same coin, both prejudiced and discriminatory fighting a worthless battle amongst each other trapped inside their own echo chambers while the government further incentivizes us to be divisive and take advantage of us while we’re too busy fighting each other to notice.
