Basically by resetting you guarantee that people who haven’t gotten many upgrades and/or have been showing up to raids far more frequently get shafted.
It’s a very questionable decision, especially if it wasn’t announced when the loot system was announced.
That’s the main thing with any loot system- be transparent early on. If you don’t, players with a lot of DKP get screwed, while players that have been either spending it all or haven’t been showing up to raid get the benefit.

No, everyone should keep their dkp and just make BWL items worth more than Mc.
I don’t think that resetting it is a good idea but I do think there should be some sort of decay every week to combat hoarding. The best for a group is when people are getting lots of upgrades, both big and small. When people hold back for big upgrades that usually is a sign that they are being stagnant and not helping progression.
Having a decay system in place encourages people to spend points and get those little upgrades that help the group as a whole. Otherwise you can get a culture of no one bidding on small upgrades and having their saved points inflate.
On the other hand too large of a decay like a full reset is unfair to the people who put time in when they were done with upgrades. It means that those people are easily poached by other guilds since they won’t be happy getting nothing in BWL in their current one.
Yea there’s only a few select people on p99 that will have full bis. I’ve played for 5 years and don’t have any chars even close to full bis. I instead chose to have 8 characters with epic weapons and second best gear, lol.

And THE GUILD could be more communicative to their guilds and let them know when a decision of this magnitude will be coming and give their guild enough time to adjust.
You remind me of guild leaders that walk around believing the guild is there to provide them with loot. When in reality you are their to provide the guild with fair leadership.
If a guild is going to make a major decision of resetting DKP, then said guild has a responsibility to provide their guild members with proper time to make adjustments.

Why? I was head hunted by the top horde guild on the server as enhance. Would love to see your parses so we could compare who exactly is the meme here, Me or a person who screwed themselves by trying to game their loot system.

Lmao. If you are a guild with less than 40 raiders which doesn’t give loot to new members, then you should not feel entitled to new players.
If u can suggest instead of resetting the entire dkp pts tell him to reduce all dkp pts by 50% this will give a fair loot to those who raided since day 1 as well as new members who joined the guild my guild have agreed all to this as well as any new member who joined my guild.
Ok… don’t be mad when you join a guild that has had a raid on farm for months in the future and can’t get the rarest items right away , alright?
