Silver is an odd one. Given its used in every device onthis planet and tons of other industrial uses…AND the fact that much of it isnt being recycled and it looks to be heading into annihilation soon, you’d expect the price to be 20 times what it is.
If it werent for the comex trading 100 times what they have physically the price would pretty much be forced to a much higher range than its been in my lifetime.
Dude…the OP described FLIPPING. Flipping IS ‘controlling the market’
Try harder
I’m always thankful when someone buys everything out and does a nice hard reset on whatever mats they’re selling. I’m ready to sell right along with them.
dude…we’re done here…you cant even accept the terminology used here because you think youre going to talk your way into a ‘win’.
The OP is about FLIPPING…end of story.
“buys out the AH of a certain mat, then puts it all back on there at a huge mark up. When other people put mats on AH at a lower price, he continually buys them up and puts them on AH at his price.”
Hey everyone who flips…what does the above sound like to you?
If the market values the materials at the higher price then they will sell. If the materials are not fairly priced then they will not sell. If you do not think the materials are worth what they are being sold for, then you are free to farm your own materials.
When talking about materials, there is no such thing as a monopoly in WoW. There is no one person or company that owns all the nodes or controls the sources of materials. Everyone is free to choose one or two gathering professions. If you need materials, nothing stops you from spending the time gathering them.
If you choose two crafting professions for the purpose of making gold or saving gold by not buying finished goods, that is your decision; but it does not come with a guarantee that you have access to cheap materials collected on the backs of underpaid gathers.
uh…more likely theres no monopoly POSSIBLE because you can just go farm your own stuff? I dont own the nodes…so I cant control the supply. Even if I try to control the AH price.
had me banging my head into the keyboard here, lol, trying to type out an answer clear enough so anyone could figure it out.
Apparently I failed, lol.
I guess when one doesnt want to accept the common use of words and terms, its kinda hard to convey even the simplest of concepts to that person very easily.
Go farm that mat and make some money, you can sell way higher than normal price if the only competition is him with his huge markup.
And it doesn’t make you a commie, it makes you ignorant. Low level mats have FAR fewer people farming them. The supply is even lower than the demand so naturally the price will go way up.
This is why it’s ok in WOW and not in real life. In real life people may not have a choice but to pay. Cancer patients need their drugs, even if it’s a 9000% markup. That’s what makes IRL price gouging so heinous and why it should be illegal but our government is garbage.
In WOW, if your price is TOO steep people won’t buy. You can raid without flasks or farm your own mats. Literally ANYONE can make ANYTHING with effort. That’s the difference.
