9 months of a first phase with brain dead easy content
TogC - that was hell
months and months and months, and months of ICC - then the world’s most boring raid Ruby Sanctom
Heroic dungeons were too easy and boring
CC in dungeons became a thing of the past and people considered the game until ulduar hardmodes as “dumbed down” and led to “wrath-babies”.
People however with time, look back and see the stuff that actually worked
The story really worked for people
ICC was pretty cool
Ulduar was awesome
Casual friendly with LFD finder, badge gear was expanded
More dailies, grinding rep with tabards
Introduction of death knights
10/25 man group modes made casual or smaller guilds happy
Pvp was a bit more accessible than it was in tbc S3 and S4
It’s the nature of trolls looking for a fight and i fall into it to, including almost his.
I read the entire thread of yours about this and it nothing like he represented. This person is just making stuff up at this point. People are better off ignoring him.
I’ll be stopping after Wrath. I’m looking forward to going to Northrend and ending it with Arthas. Lore matters to me and post Wrath lore is bad in my opinion. Death Knights being playable was already questionable to me. I draw the line at Pandas.
MoP PvP was superb. Better than SL, BFA, slightly better than legion, better than WoD, better than Cata, on par with Wrath, better than TBC, and better than Vanilla
the “Classic era” ends with TWLK since cata is where we get the world as it currently is. but yeah MOP had some good aspects to it for sure that would be fun to revisit
MoP was my favorite expansion… right up to the last patch. I hated SoO and what they did to the Vale. If there was a way to repair the damage, I would be thrilled. But as for the other raids, and the ToT zone in general, I thought it was some of the best work Blizz ever did. If there was player housing in the future, and we got to choose what expansion our house was in, mine would be in MoP.
Thanks mate, I appreciate that you got the context and gave your view based on what I actually said.
I did a post history review of that troll and found out he claims to be a legal professional elsewhere, had to laugh - totally believable. In court by day troll on the internet by night, it fits so well. I was just a ball of string for that cat to play with in the off hours. It’s not how I operate at all and it (his aggression not his opinion) did trigger me. As a mathematician I’m more comfortable dealing with subject matter with all the personal stuff taken out. Personal attacks and playing up to the gallery just peeve me off. It’s sophistry. I’m pretty open minded about opinions but facts are facts. This thread is an opinion thread - it’s about what we like or don’t like - there’s no provable right or wrong in it.
At any rate the guy is blocked and everything is much cruiser as a result. I reckon I can re enter the fray of this discussion in peace and have a calm and rational contribution.
And in that regard (MoP classic): I think the biggest turn off for the idea of having a MoP classic to my mind is that the actual structure of the world is so different. I definitely feel like Wrath was a clear cut off point. It seems a stretch to call anything Cata and beyond “classic” when its world is missing places and features of the classic world.
Up until Cata every expansion added to the classic world however at Cata and beyond the world was completely restructured. I prefer to leave visiting eras like MoP to mechanics like the Shadowlands “Timewalking” rather than turn them into an expansion of classic.
MoP was fun, SoO was annoying after a few months. The pvp in MoP and WoD was probably the best I’ve seen. Lots of viable comps, classes were fun to play and in WoD Ret in arena was probably the most fun I had… rip empowered seals <3
Getting triggered doesn’t make the argument bad, it just makes you too fragile for a conversation where you go around flippantly proclaiming things as racist.
Such a solid expansion overall in MoP. Great raids, great class balance and design, and solid PvP. Challenge mode dungeons were fun. The open world zones were well done too.
Naw, I have actual clients. My jurisdiction has dealt very harshly with the charlatans that snag up these kinds of property rights just to file suit, and my firm has dealt with them on more than one occasion without losing. My favorite are the ADA trolls who just look for websites that have been put together without all of the vision or hearing impaired amenities in place (which is a huge majority of websites). They send these nasty threatening letters under the guise of the ADA so they can hook in the statutory minimum penalties under California law in the hopes people will flinch and settle immediately. Those haven’t gone well against my firm either, largely because they’re so poorly drafted and the attorneys are VERY easily provoked when you remind them of their various sanctions and suspensions.
