Is keystone master easier to get in 9.1?

No it didn’t… It required all zones to be done at +15 in time. Even if you had every zone at +20, as long as one zone was +14, you wouldn’t unlock KSM. Now that it’s rating based, you might be able to get KSM with some 17s and some 13s even. As long as the rating is 2k+

And remember, you need to do both tyrannical weeks and fortified weeks since they both contribute to the overall rating.

If you fail a 16, you don’t get the 17, chum. That is what I was trying to say.

It is substantially easier.

They only upped the key difficulty by about 3 levels with the new scaling, instead of 5, which means we pretty much started off strong enough to do 15s right out the gate, and certainly after some gear.

At this point I think the average key level is probably in the 17-18 range.

the initial achievement for keystone master was only 1 timed 15 back on legion. The timing all 15s only happened in season 1 bfa. But saying that it’s not really saying much because it was just an achievement and there was no reward tied to it

100% was able to do all 15’s the first week at 226. And I’m not some mythic raider, or even AOTC. I barely made KSM at the end of season 1.

That wasn’t keystone master, that was Legion Keymaster, which only needed a mythic key for each run. Didn’t matter what level.

Prime example, here was one of my druids during Legion:

But here’s the achievement:

It’s just Legion keymaster, which wasn’t KSM. There wasn’t one back then. And there’s no feat of strength for any of the Legion key stuff either.

It’s a lot easier. It takes a little longer in theory, but no key is worthless anymore. If you miss a 15 by a few seconds, you probably don’t have to do that dungeon again. Before, if you missed the timer by 1 second it was a waste of time.

KSM wasn’t hard content last season, and it is even easier this season. If you want to AFK to the mount/achievement you can always buy a boost.

A LOT easier.

I dont know if the scaling up of the dungeon was badly done (which is 99% a possibility) but at ilvl 215 I ended healing +15 in Season 1 and the 1st week of the patch with the same ilvl I was healing +14 with no problem.

You need to do double the dungeons but overall that’s a timegate that Blizzard is very fond of having and not a difficulty barrier. Well, unless you are one of those players scared of Tyrannical.

Also, Shadowlands Dungeon experiencie is in total A LOT easier than in Legion or BfA. You can pick between 3 option (or 9 if you do a lot of content) to get BiS a lot sooner. Also, you can upgrade items with Valor to higher than Heroic Raid ilvl doing content that requires basically no ability or skills. Dungeons, even when failed, gives 2 pieces of loot to rewards even the worst players. Loot in Shadowlands is falling from the sky.

Dungeon bosses are easier than ever and the seasonal affixes are the most overpowered than have been ever since M+ exists. During Season 1 the Prideful was a dummie with a minimal movement requirement that later gave a buff so powerful that most Bosses were cheesed to death. And now the Tormented minibosses are no challenge and the buffs are very significant. Necrotic Wound can add up to 8% of your damage in a dungeon.

Getting KSM in this expansion is like getting all the +8 in Legion. If you dont get KSM is because you are a total newbie and have no idea how anything works.

You can play semantics with the level of the Key all you want.

It is a FACT that you can MISS THE TIMER … and still get credit for it.

That’s true of a 10.
That’s true of a 15.
That’s true of a 20. etc etc

Never heard of Keystone Master. I’ve heard of Keystone light and it’s always been easy to get. You just gotta go to a store and buy it.

Hahahahaha you’re spare parts bud

Think so

Everyone didn’t need to start from scratch this season, we know the layout of the dungeons and how fast to go/what mobs to pull, the mini bosses are easier then the red shade, etc

It’s still abit hard for dps to get into runs (if your not meta even more). For every key posted there’s gamma be 30+ dps trying to get a spot.

Then you also have noobs that donno what there doing/didnt do season 1. I had a 14 top run stuffed by a healer with a io of around 800 that didn’t dispel any dots that wiped us around 5 times till we all just left. Was stupid of the host to accept them

matter of fact i will

Considering most semi-competent players got theirs in the first 3 weeks of the patch.
Yes, much easier.

Your whole post is BS, but this statement in specific made me laugh.
M+ has gotten significantly harder over these 3 expacs. people would steamroll 25s in legion, everything was much easier.

Easier seasonal affix, ability to swap out keystones, and multiple pathways to KSM make it easier.

This season I didn’t end up in a situation where I just needed one more timed dungeon and couldn’t get into a group for it or get a keystone for it.

It is for easier a couple reasons:

  1. The first patch in any expansion will begin with stam for survivabiliity, less main stat for raw throughput, and less secondary stats for synergy with borrowed power.
  2. The second patch begins with some players ahead of the power curve with respect to player power
  3. You get credit toward KSM even if you don’t time it
  4. You can off-set your weak dungeons by running a different one as a 16 or higher

It is slightly harder in:

  1. You can’t avoid tyrannical weeks. Honestly, only in higher keys does this make a huge difference. Up to 15 it’s pretty reasonable
  2. You have to wait 2 weeks to get achievement out the gate, since you need both tyrannical and fortified
  3. If you missed timing a dungeon during the current main (2) affix, you will have to wait two weeks for it to come around again.

Tyrannical is easier this season, PERIOD.

Jaina’s mount, anyone? Bliz has always had mounts for KSM and harder raids. This is no different.

I think the biggest challenge a casual player has with M+ is queues. The new scoring system makes the disparage between accomplished players and not ever more apparent. This makes it near impossible for a seasoned group to accept alts and newer 60s.

I’d recommend running keys with your guild on discord. Guildees are much more forgiving and provide constructive feedback. This will help you learn the dungeons quicker while providing a carry for both dungeon timing and posting group queues.

I place a burden on myself to show my guild mates the ropes of M+. When they queue outside the guild, they reflect on the guild. If more guilds would take an active role in training their members, M+ would be a much happier place.

Blizzard’s approach to getting people to stop hating Tyrannical was to take all of the deadly affixes piled up on Tyrannicla weeks and push them to Fortified weeks, lol.

And it’s honestly kind of worked.
