Farm it on some DHs. You can climb the chain to skip most of the raid. Once you get one to drop just stick to that one character each week until you get the other one. I got both in a few weeks. What is going to be a pain is waiting for the BC Timewalking to come around again because after you get the Warglaive achievement of equipping both at the same time, you then need to kill Illidan during BC timewalking.
Its a good time to do it now cause if you have done any remix so far the xp gain is insane and making a DH you can skip the intro class zone. Make a few timerunner DH and convert them to normal war within characters. And doesnt seem like BC timewalking is coming anytime soon so you got time.

Just park a DH outside Black Temple and just jump up the chains. You’ll get them in a couple of weeks. I got mine fairly fast.
My set took 49 attempts and finally finished it during Collector’s Bounty. Seen people go 100+.
There are two items that can teleport you directly to BT to hasten the farm, but one (the toy Fractured Necrolyte Skull) is only available from the timewalking vendor during TBC timewalking, and the other (the necklace Blessed Medallion of Karabor) is from a very long/involved BC quest chain you’d need to do on your farming character.
(Also if you happen to’ve already done the quests ages ago but lost the Medallion at some point you can get a replacement from Xi’ri outside Black Temple.)
Since the Fractured Necrolyte Skull requires a critter to activate you can pair it with another toy called Critter Hand Cannon that you get from a quest in Highmountain that spawns critters on demand.
As others have noted DH can jump up the chains after Supremus and skip Akama, Gorefiend, Bloodboil, and Reliquary.

Glaive drop rates aren’t even that terribly low, they have an assumed 5% drop rate. But you need two drops and they are unique items so it’s not just get two, it’s get the MH and the OH. So, yes, it can take a while, but it’s very unlikely to take a year to get one.
The best way to farm it would be to have multiple DHs that can run it and then focus on the first one who gets it.
I think the drop rate might be better for DH. You just go in and bulldoze the place. DH can skip a lot of the raid by walking up the chains and jumping up to the den of mortal delights.
You need both (sort of) for the DH mog, first to get the achievement that says you have them, then to kill Illidan in TW to get the second part of the mog.
But yes, it is worth farming, I just wish players did not go all Mage Tower on this, because the OG items are swords and should be able to be mogged by anyone that can use swords.
Honestly that’s why I said what I did, I thought the OG was moggable. Apparently I’m wrong.
It’s nonsensical that we can’t. We killed Illidan and took them years before the demon hunters woke up from their nap. How’d a DH even get them, track down the heroes and ask nicely?
I don’t mind them getting them but Blizz shouldn’t have taken them away from everyone else.
Something something yells at cloud hiss hiss grumble grumble.
You don’t deserve them. Daddy 'Dan left them to us in his closet to take care of while he is gone.
I got them both on my DK ages ago and recent re-farmed them to have both on my DH.
No reason other than do occasionally flip the direction the glaives sit on my back (via outfit feature) in dorn.
Annnnd to have them in case blizzard ever decides to make timewalking fun.
He also has a second thunderfury for same reason
