Is it useless to chase demonbane set to use in BFA?

Hi, I am still at Legion expansion, I’ll hit BFA once Shadowlands come out. My question is will Demonbane armor set still be viable for use in BFA or farming it would be a waste of time.

So, it’s really hard to tell right now. The new leveling system in SL means that, in theory, all of the expansions should top out at the same itemlevel point. It also should mean, in theory, that instances and maybe raid loot should have the same itemlevel between the expansions. But that’s all theory, I don’t have alpha access to check it. If that does come to pass, the armor sets from the final raid in each expansion should, in theory, be equal in strength.

If that’s not the case, and they retain itemlevel differences between expansion raid gear based on release order, then Demonbane will straight up be useless in BfA, as gear from prior expansions is always useless in the next.
