You seem to think feral is one spec and one role. You state to know so much, but fail to realize what hybrid even means. Oh well, you can be a gatekeeper. Thatâs your choice, but youâre a waste of a Classic player if youâre going to be so. Stick to retail.

Nope. I just assume if youâre comparing a Feral to a Fury Warrior, youâre talking about a Feral in Cat Form.
Nothing in the post you responded to even mentioned Feral specifically, anyway, so I donât know what youâre getting huffy about.
I realize what hybrid means. You fail to realize what the role of DPS is, though, and why Hybrids arenât good at it.

I, on the other hand, never said people couldnât play hybrids; I said they should prepare for what will happen if they choose to play a spec that is bad. I never told people they shouldnât play Classic if they want to play Feral, or Ret, or whatever else.

My hunter will once again be a kiting, pet offtanking, trapmaster of âlolmetaâ epicness.
My druid will be a 5 man hero and off-tank when someone wants a RAWRBEAR!
My pally will be for when I donât want to tank with my face in the 5 mans.
My mage will once again be my pew.pew.pew.OHCRAP.IâMNOTATANK.stoppew.wand.wandâŚpew?
Game isnât going anywhere, so if the guild I end up with clears MC when AQ comes out, so be it. If weâre having fun, weâll get to it eventually.

Fury live at the top of dps meters, usually followed by rogues n mages up to end of BWL. You have zero chance of catching fury damage. I sat at the top of my guild for dps as fury for a long time. As for pvp fury just wrecks with some back up heals, I hit rank 13 as fury and top the boards non stop in that, soon as anything hits 20% health its dead from execute, hk after hk non stop.
When I switched to guild tank, the top aggro were fury warriors and still top dps.
Its pretty much Warrior > Rogue=Mage > Lock > Hunter. Thats for tier 2.
I will say one thing I find amusing is people continually say how Vanilla was âplay your class, not your specâ and yet it seems to be exactly the opposite; you are forced into a spec because the spec balance was wonky such that you couldnât âplay your classâ without doing it in one very specific way.
Everybody worth their salt knows that by heart. Spec (including gear) is everything in all versions of WoW.

I thought that in 1.12 the 3% crit and spell crit buffs from one feral druid and one boomkin could be worth it to a raid. Similarly I thought improved windfury totem made it worthwile to bring one enhancement shaman. Is this way off in terms of numbers?

You are delusional. Having worthless hybrids in your raid is NOT FUN for the rest of the raid.
All the Great players will QUIT that raid and go somewhere that is serious about winning, then you will be a bunch of bads wiping on trash.

Dude you are taking classic way too seriously. Not to mention we have 15 years of experience. I raided 8 hours a night 5 days a week and was garbage comoared to me now and i havent played since BFA. We have high speed internet and gaming peripherals, addons and macros.
Stop gate keeping, nobody cares about world firsts that we got 14 years ago. You sound like a miserable person to raid with, the exact wrong person to play classic.
Honest question what are you winning in classic? Whatâs the point of playing classic if you burnout, which i assure you you will raiding like that.
Not really, no. It wasnât until TBC that Enhance became viable and Feral became decent. Balance was flat-out bad. Even during TBC it was only good for dipping into as Resto in Arena.
