Anniversary realms are going to TBC.
The old era realms are forever servers that we can always go back to and play. They’re already merged via server clusters and server type.
All the people that don’t want to move onto TBC will most likely go back to playing on Era.
Adding more hardcore servers was an odd decision to me, not exactly sure why they did that.
