I think it is best not to say anything.
I frequently find my head between them. I’ve had several near death experiences. The horde is a great place.
Yeah…now I need a snack. I’ll have 32 pieces of Original Recipe, 24 Extra Crispy Thighs, 4 family size mashed potatoes and gravy, and a diet Pepsi (I’m on a diet).

This is what I now do in my life at work and other facets of it:
I take what I would want to say to a lovely lady and then I think if it would be something appropriate to say to another 55 year old male, like myself.
So would I say, to that other 55 year old male (with me being “straight”), "you look pretty today! "
Would I say, “Nice gams!”
Would I say, “I like your hair like that!”
No I would not say those things.
Therefore, I can’t say them to a female either! So it is a pretty easy way to remember it. This basically covers all facets of PC’ness.
The one addition I make is no longer referring to anyone as a “gender”; I simply use the person’s name or refer to them as “they.” That way if someone requests to be called “they” I already have it covered and don’t have to remember their thing.
