Is it possible to turn off sounds caused by my own toys?

For example. The Death’s Door Charm toy is insanely loud. I love the toy, but I hate the sound.

It should be possible, yes.

The addon Mute Annoying WoW Sounds used to be a wonderful way to do this, until the devs changed the way sounds were retrieved.

Now, a similar function is available in the addon Leatrix Plus.

Get the addon Leatrix Plus. Open it with /ltp and pick the System menu. Enable “Mute Game Sounds” then click the Gear button and it will let you mute specific sounds in a checklist, among them is “Trains”, and a bunch of other annoying sounds. You can also custom mute any sound ID in the game

I don’t use it myself, so I don’t know exactly how it works. Maybe your sound is in their checklist, or maybe you will have to find the internal ID number for the sound, which you probably can on Wowhead.
