As the title states, is it possible to actually lose this mode? Has anyone ever seen a loss take place?
every comp stomp I’ve ever played the bot team was getting graveyard camped within a few minutes.
I’ve never seen the player team lose.
Sure if like half the team never left the starting zone it could happen.
Don’t do that tho, you can get into trouble for not participating in PvP events.
and I do mean real account action level trouble.
Yes, but it would require everyone on your team to do nothing and just hang out at the gate.
Once upon a time they made comp stomp hard and players complained and they made them faceroll easy again
I don’t think they changed anything.
Players just got better gear.
First time I did comp stomp I didn’t even know it was NPCs.
I kept knocking this same guy off a cliff at the same spot and thinking “man this guys a slow learner, you’d think he would know by now.”
I was the slow learner it seems.
Last rotation, at the end of S1, the bots actually put up a slight fight.
But no, unless you have everyone AFK it isn’t ever going to end in a loss. It’s not a question of winning, it’s a question of how long it takes to win.
If Comp Stomp happens in a brand new expansion and the PvP scene is fresh then those bots can hit real hard.
People learn fast after the first few deaths, but I’d say plausible.
lmao.
Yes it is possible to lose if everyone is afk and you don’t have 3 players to hold 3 nodes.
Players will strategically premade to go for achievements like the below as you need a very specific circumstance to achieve.
Verasia, just stay with the group.
You’ll be fine
after a few tries you’ll get the hang of how BGs play out
help others if they are getting attacked, heal them or help kill whatever is attacking them, that sort of thing.
Once the NPC team gets pushed into the graveyard your whole team should be there AoEing them down as they respawn.
Blizzard decided that they would have comp stomp right in-between release of TWW. So, players would load in and be greeted by level 80 bots, but still be level 70. You would be 1-shot by npcs.
I haven’t lose once to comp stomp, but most players sure as hell don’t know how to defend posts.
First week of the expac when the bots where scaled to full pvp gear and everyone else was locked to normal dungeon gear and world quest stuff i was im a group that lost once.
I have had many games over the years where we had multiboxers, multi afkers, griefers.
I cant recall a single time I have ever seen the game show -Defeat-
Plenty of times where the game basically never ends.
Frustrating to no end.
I am pretty sure I saw a loss. People capture bases then run off and they get back captured. Just doing that a few times will do it.
It makes it so much harder to win when alliance captures the farm before the other bases.
I would say most Comp Stomp players don’t know how to fight enemies with player abilities in general.
Technically yes. In practice no.
I think if everyone wasnt in pvp gear maybe. Ive seen some games take longer than normal but never seen a loss.
Yep. Once. It was a poop show of AFK people and no healers, back when they upped the damage of the AI.
The match took forever, people wouldn’t stay on bases, the AI was handing people their butts and everyone was spread out and unable to keep any bases.
I have never in my life seen such amazing failure.
I feel like I should have gotten an achievement for that once in a million years event.
And this exact scenario is playing out with timewalking dungeons as we speak.
