I refuse to accept that Blizzard has both grind-gated and scenario-gated an integral piece of progression. I refuse to do them anymore. Especially since this is an alt. Has anyone had experience with just NOT doing them? How did the raid go?
normal mode was fine with a low level cape.
besides not insta-dying, the only benefits are from the over-15 corruption recovery so you can wear more gear.
AFAIK as long as you have the cloak equipped that’s all you need. Heroic was cleared the first week when the maximum cloak level possible was 7
The mythic raid was cleared week 2 ( maybe it was early week 3? I can’t quite remember) I’m pretty sure the maximum cloak level was 6 (or 7) then so yes you can do it with a low level Cape.
You need to have it on for fighting carapace and nzoth but that’s the only requirement.
Yes, the groups I see selling full clears for gold will have in their message that you only need rank 1 cloak to go on their run and you get credit and loot drops.
