Is it normal for Arms to be hitting 1.5mil damage Mortal Strikes right now?

idk why we are trying to downplay 1mil chaos bolts NOT HITTING hard but go off. secondly most of their dmg doesn’t even come from bolt it’s consistent dmg from wither and instant casts. but getting bolts off isn’t prio so of course you are not gonna see fat bolts unless he is of course free casting in A COIL go into SHADOWFURY SETUP. the lobby i just described literally gives him that range to cast because it’s all casters and a arms warrior with a hpal to provide bop when i do connect to him :saluting_face:

Blizz probably needs to reduce cast time & cd on shatter with the forbearance changes tbh; was already outdated now it’s worse.

Also just make it baseline.

Do all of the MS modifiers also impact cleave damage?

I tested collateral damage, fervor of battle, and merciless bonegrinder from the arms tree with seismic reverberation and barbaric training from the class tree. If you can stack collateral + bonegrinder, you can get 3.5+m cleaves that proc a 900k slam and an additional ~1m free cleave proc in the same button press that all land at the same time. It sounds like kind of a lot of setup but really all you have to do is press sweeping strikes, hit a few things, bladestorm, then csmash into cleave.

You get one against many and practiced strikes from colossus tree. Against something like a DK or BM hunter, you can get an additional ~40% modifier on top of all this. Not a super viable arena setup against anything other than double melee, but against double melees, it’s actually kinda unhealable. Just martial prowess buffed cleaves that hit three things hit really hard since you get a free 30% cleave and slam on top of them.

Bolt doesn’t hit hard, compared to any other spell or prior iterations of the spell in general.

Yeah but it’s not apples to apples against time periods when bolt hit much harder, proportionately. Destro does a lot more damage with everything else now, where in those times it was pretty much just bolt.

Yea I’d be curious as to what it stacks too, Details was showing 4484 per stack

literally haven’t queued a solo shuffle today without a Warrior in it lol. This balance team has no idea what they’re doing. Warrior didn’t need more damage at all, what they needed was better uptime on target and maybe a buff to defensives.

anything hitting for over a mil is a hard hit doesn’t make it op which i never said to top it off i said that i got nuked by casters which i got nuked. it’s not my fault sp and lock together can nuke me in a coil shadowfury setup lmao.

No what’s OP is the Mortal Strikes with 50% healing reduction hitting for 1.5mil along with 1.5mil Executes. Warrior didn’t need more damage at all, what they needed was better methods of staying on targets for more uptime and maybe a buff to defensives.

Yeah I’m not arguing if it had pad scoreboard damage. I’m arguing that nobody is getting nuked by “bolt hitting hard”. You can eat 4 bolts in a row if you want, responding with a 30s cd health stone saves you every time. If it’s even needed

This expansion Blizzard has been hap hazardly throwing buffs on PvE without actually putting the “This doesn’t apply to PvP” modifiers on a lot of tuning
it just seems like they don’t really care for PvP tuning right now. It’s been all expansion so far honestly.

A good example of this is the multitude of Feral buffs for PvE reasons but zero nerfs in PvP to balance that out.

It’s insane to me how outdated the ability is tbh.

It’s also interesting to see how much warrior doesnt get to keep utility expansion to expansion because of how broken it is.

All such INSANELY cool abilities that, while obviously overtuned, all get removed.

It’s so strange how their response to unholy DK was to keep all the nutty elements like 30s team ams with aoe bonus ams and just nerf numbers, but warrior gets the abilities hard pruned so its in basically the same state ability-wise that it was in like
