I do them alone … And I don’t like both at all … Dwarven district it’s fun with jumping around
and pulling even more packs … dream
…I assume that’s with 2 or so areas? At 430 having a full clear with that much bar left seems unlikely on a melee. She’s not “hard”, she’s a time waster on par with kael and his ever-speech.
I have killed her on my 435 feral druid with both Corrupted area affixes. Not even remotely a problem.
First off - when she drops her AOE, there is always at least one little area you can stand in and keep dpsing her. As soon as she drops the bombs from the Dwarven district, run to a pillar - she immediately will come to you.
Also, my top essence is the crucible of flame (I do not raid or do mythics.) When she teleports to the center and is channeling I usually step to the side of the pillar and blast her .
I never said anything about a full clear - and I am only talking about killing her (and after clearing both corrupted areas.)
I usually heal right before I engage her so, that is why I am saying I can kill her with only about 20% of my bar gone.
When you get the flame debuff - if you do not move it will not toss you around. And after you get used to the toss it can actually become helpful.
I got blasted with that once, lol.
Ok yeah, the reason we’re saying that she needs an HP nerf is that time and sanity is much more limited at the end of a run, you’re racing to Alleria or Thrall with very little time to spare. Both are pretty easy but Thrall is much easier to get time wise because you’re not constantly moving out of hitting range.
I see your point.
One other thing, though - you do not have to kill either one to get your pages. I know there is a slight chance you may get a piece of gear (most of the times I do not - and that is across 9 toons) but unless you really need the 150 mementos the “boss” chest gives you then killing Alleria or Thrall is not necessary.
One other thing (and this is for everybody) - buff food. Get some, the +20% move speed and the one that restores Sanity are great.
However, you do need to kill Alleria to get full clear credit, which is needed for mask runs to count. And that’s when her having twice as much HP and tonnes of mechanics that do nothing except lower your uptime really start to be annoying.
Nothing in SW is dangerous, I genuinely believe that, and it probably means SW is the easier of the two zones when we add every affix except long night. But it does waste your time.
Well, if you are at the point, now, where you can do a full clear with masks…/bow.
The whole trend of over the damn top mechanics that cause you to lose control is infuriating.
Stunned bounced around surrounded by more stunning AOE’s so you can’t go interrupt the next stun so you get stunned in an AOE and die. Well that’s just fraking special, you recreated the vanilla wow experience of fighting a twink rogue.
I got my level 10, but it sure wasn’t an experience I considered fun or endearing. The encounter design has really gone sideways.
Did a full clear with 3 on as shadow. Would have done it with 4 if I hadn’t DCed (All the hard stuff I was worried about going into it was already dead). Will probably just do 3 masks to be safe tomorrow when EU opens up again and I get my next cloak upgrades.
I’m gonna have to agree with you on this - I am so tired of the loss-of-control mechanics in this expansion, it is quite tiresome.
Along those lines…I would like to meet the dev that thought it would “so much fun” to do the timewarp thingy in the daily vision. Yea…he would be demoted to a janitorial postion.
Wow - well, rock on!! And good luck
As a caster, Mathias Shaw makes me want to end my own life. And the mage quarter boss is up there in annoyance.
I actually prefer SW to Org especially when in the higher sanity drain zones.
But I play a paladin and just Freedom the slow away.
I had no issues getting a full clear done with an orb up in org. SW was another thing entirely. Though it’s because shaw and umbric are annoying af.
The door guards are much more difficult than the org guards, unless you have a tank pet, hunter, shaman, lock.
My low level shaman pulls out rock elemental at door and fire elemental inside and is super easy with 425 gear.
Probably the same dev who designed Leaden Feet.
“Hey, you know those dreams where you’re running really slow and you can’t go faster no matter how hard you try? You know how terrible that feels and how you’re glad when you wake up and it isn’t real? OK so let’s put that into our game! People will love it!”
And even if the stars do align with the buff dropping near her, she’ll just cast Darkened Sky and then teleport away right after.
