Is it expected for healers to bring their own water?

Stop being a victim. Be prepared, bring your own consumables.

On any WOW toon I play, I share what I have that’s sharable…
but that doesn’t translate to my physical life that I must be ‘forced’ to give to those who just want to TAKE. Like begin forced to take strangers in that have come to only take from others? Nothing to give whatsoever. Or those who can now loot stores if its only $999 in value.
Just saying…

Sure then he should bring his own bandages. /CheckMate

one of those threads, huh?

Everyone has their own expenses. DPS (should) be eating a lot of consumables etc. “The cost of water” is negligible and not a burden. Remembering to actually buy it is more of a burden IMO

You should always bring your own water just in case there’s no mage present. If there IS a mage present, and they refuse to make water for you, i’d just YOLO out of there and let them find another healer.

It is very important to stay hydrated. Yes you should always bring water with you.

When I do dungeons both Classic and retail I bring lots of food and water.

I really like mana management. They didn’t do a terrific job with disc priests mana tho and it feels like the devs just don’t like mana at all as a resource.

Obviously we’re trolling at this point with the thread topics.

But yes, for people who didn’t put two and two together, it is the healer’s responsibility to bring their own supplies to scho – I mean, raid / dungeons.

healers should always have their own water, and mages should always put down a table at the beginning, and when asked. Anything else is trolling.

What do you do if you don’t have a mage in your group?

yes BUT if theres a mage and they refuse/dont like dropping a table they’re kinda crappy

Mages should drop a table at the beginning of the run yes. This is true. However, you have no guarantee that there’s going to be a mage.
If there’s one thing that playing this game for so long has taught me it’s that you need to be at least somewhat self sufficient. You should always have water on you, with or without a mage. You should always have a way to get your mana back and if you’re intent on expecting other people to pick up for that particular failing, then you probably should reconsider how you handle dungeons/raids/etc.

It is your job to heal and to be prepared to heal. It is the DPS’ job to do damage and it is the tanks job to soak damage. Anything extra outside of those main roles is the individual being kind, and not expected of them.

Uncle Ruckus, you have lost some weight, 'eh? I guess Kul’Tiran men can’t have dark skin yet.

You have to be trolling… sigh

Since I almost allways heal Im making it my personal mission whenever I play mage to make sure to drop that table right under the healers nose, several times if I suspect they missed it

In a raid, you can expect a mage table, in a dungeon you may not have a mage in party, so that bringing some food and water is advisable.

The mage in your party was pretty lame tho. You should have told him to bring bandages, if he wanted some healing.

While a healer should always have their own water (because there may be no mage in the party), a Mage who doesn’t provide food/water to their party, especially when asked, is just a jerk.

As to the burden of repairs and food, that’s a burden everyone has to bear regardless of class/role. There is no special exemption for being a healer. Mages can and should provide mage food for their party as a matter of course, but everyone should have their own food/drink for situations where a Mage isn’t available.

Yes as a healer you should always have your own water don’t rely on mages to provide for you
