Makes sense. Though I’m sure that following the recommendations given by the base UI will be significantly worse than doing the rotation/priority correctly, though by what % I do not know, and I’m sure it varies from spec to spec. Would be cool if the priority was customizable and shareable so that could be created by the simcraft bigbrains and then imported.
The problem is that Blizzard will cut their own flesh in the end.
Disabling these combat addons won’t affect the cutting edge players doing mythic raid RWF and high end m+ keystones, they will always figure out a way to succeed.
It will affect the average and casual playerbase, who will never compete in high end gaming. But these are the majority of players who pay the most money for WoW subscriptions.
This will effect cutting edge players a ton. But the further down the stack you are from the best players in the world, the more you need tools to help you play adequately to complete the content in a reasonable amount of time.
I think most people don’t realize that the people in heroic guilds or normal guilds will be hit the hardest by this.
A lot of people will end up leaving the game because of these changes. All in the hopes of recruiting new players…
Dang no hekili sucks but they have a rotation helper in game now don’t they?
I never used hekili so I have no idea how accurate it is. Assuming it was decent based on the number of downloads. But I guess on the plus side since so many abilities are being purged the rotations should be easier to understand for some specs. Heck the rotation assist might even get close now.
Until you start engaging in high level M+, your speculations about it are pretty much meaningless.
I promise you, you could tank your hard drive full of add ons and still fail every key you walk into. In your case, I’m willing to bet it would be inevitable.
No we’re saying that players like you, regardless of add on useage-would still not clear relevant content.
Any and all Combat centric addons are DOA as of Midnight.
This includes, but is not limited to:
DBM
BigWigs
WeakAuras
Vuhdu
Healbot
Hekili
Hearkitty
many, many Unit Frame addons
I read somewhere they were thinking of letting people change the rotation eventually and sharing. Thay was when it first came out though.
One button rotation and rotation assist are still there for you.
Imagine using hekilli, one-button rotation and rotation assist to hold your hand through your entire rotation. If your spec is nuanced you most likely would not have learned your definitive sequence anyways.
and? that has nothing to do with addons being bad for the game.
i love how people like you deflect, ignore and pretend addon removal isnt a good thing when the devs and ian have literally said in interviews design has been at war with them for a while now.
I’ll be honest. I only played because of hekili. I could not be bothered to learn all that plus my hands do not move quick enough anymore so I have to click with mouse. I’ll use the assist and figure out how to use my cooldowns but I agree. I never had any intention of moving on or learning my class.
I CANNOT play this game without hekilli
gg im unsubscribing. it was a good run yall
As opposed to the bot telling you what to press? Wild takes.
And rightly so.
I completely understand your justification you and others just like you are the exception.
Edit: I keep forgetting to actually reply to a post w/ the quoting of.
LOL they are like:
I can only play with addon/hekili because game too complex.
Removes said addons: OMG game is too easy now im quitting.
People are hilarious.
And you know this from your extensive experience actually engaging in end game right?
